Does anyone know another morpg game like Guild wars or an mmorpg game that is casual. Maybe not as casual as guild wars, but something along the lines of a leveling period where you can reach max level in a month or so? playing like 3 hours a day. Something with a ton of content like Guild wars, but almost none of it is leveling most of it happens after you reach level cap, which is easy to reach?
I don't mind a challenge but I am tried of grinding. I get enough of that from FFXI the past 6 years .
So does anyone know a game like that, casual, quick to level, but tons of stuff to do in the end after you level? story stuff, missions, pvp, pve raids, and all that stuff.
To me mmorpgs are not about leveling they are about interraction and the end game collect-a-thon you go tru trying to get your character equiped to do more DMg in raids or to do better in PvP, leveling could not exsist for all I care, I just want a game I can jump into fast, and play and be of an equal or semi equal playing field, (but online) like Guild wars is.

World of Warcraft embodies that, if at least for the most part. I wouldn't say 1 month for sure since the cap is 80, but they keep making it easier to level up and I'm sure you can get there in 2-3 months if you focus on leveling, or if you don't rush yourself (what I did my first time, which was the best decision in WoW I ever made) maybe 4 months. When I was leveling back than, I would play about 2 hours or less, so I would say you won't take forever to get to max. It's a very casual game, which is why it's so successful, and the major patches are constantly adding new things, usually for end game PvE and PvP. I also moved from FFXI to WoW (back when there were no expansions for WoW and only 2 for FFXI), and I can tell you it's gonna feel like a breeze being able to solo level and not have to rely on a party. Right now though I feel like playing a more group oriented game like FFXI though lol I quit WoW a few months back for the 3rd time, got a little too.... easy I guess ;x but it will last you a few years, no doubt.
Hehe I shoudl have stated the games iv played, Well WoW i have played for about a year, got a lvl 70 druid and 70 priest then quit. Was a great game for the time I was interested but just totally lost interest in it.
Anything else out there?
There really is nothing else like GuildWars. All you can do is wait for Diablo3 or GuildWars2.
Than I guess we're on the same boat lol. I would love to find a game that has that spark that FFXI had when it came to grouping up. People complain about the grind, and I did to, but the essentiality of grouping is the mechanism that let it stick with me for as long as it did. It sucks that casual gaming nowadays in MMO's means that there needs to be solo content that matches or surpasses grouping. wtf? I understand not everyone can stay online for 5 hours a day, I can't all the time either, but making grouping more worthwhile and have some solo content for when you have some difficulty finding a group.
But like I was saying... nothing really comes to mind ;/ You can try LOTRO, when I played the trial, or paid the 15$, cant remember, it was soon after I quit WoW, and since LOTRO is VERY similar to WoW, I got bored of it really fast. You're disconnected from the world for a good while (I was around level 15 I believe and still hadn't hit a main city or anything, just some instanced zones). But the graphics are good and the classes aren't bad either, and it is just about as casual as WoW I would presume. You could also try CoX, very fun game when you start it, and if you don't mind the somewhat repetitive grind in the mid levels, I'm sure you found yourself a game. I hear there's not much to do at the end, though, except PvP, which apparently the company fucked up on, but I would give the trial a shot, if at least to spend all 14 days creating villains and heroes.
Single Player Games?
Warhammer online is the MMO you're looking for.
90 percent of the games on the left of ur screen are casual and u can reach the end in a month so go waste your money on these games.....
If you want super casual go for Dungeon Runners. IF its still going.
For some complexity go for ROM or Atlantica.
There is really nothing like Guildwars out there, Jeff strain is the best programmer in the world. He has by the way done Warcraft 3 and Diablo 1 also.
Some games are more casual than others however. I would say that WAR and AoC are the 2 most casual around right now, but there is another game that actually are just a little bit like GW also, DDO.
WAR is a very casual PvP game, the problem is that it gets rather grindy when you played a while. It's instanced PvP fight are however easy to jump into anytime. If you want casual PvP you should look into this game. However do the PvE suck badly and Mythic also did the misstake of making an adult IP into a game for teens and cutting of all sex and horror from the game, big misstake for any fan of Warhammer but if you never played another warhammer game it is not a bad choice.
Then there is AoC. AoC do have pretty interesting PvE with a good AI and nice graphics. The combat system however is not optimal in PvP but the game is worth a trial at least, the buggs have been ironed out but it still is a bit short on content. For casual PvE it is not a bad choice.
DDO is not something I can describe or reccomend since I never actually played it but some friends like both it and Guildwars and say that the games at least have some similaritis. It is getting free to play soon (if not already) so it might be worth a look. But others here can probably describe it better.
Avoid Wow and EQ2 since they are very grindy, and for the sake of all that is holy, Lineage 2.
Darn, oh well. I guess Its more time waiting for monster hunter to come out. At least a few online RPG games for consoles seem to be comming out aimed at the kinda playstyle I favor, very casual, not something to spend years playing but a few months maybe.
Theres a metric shit-TON of casual games, but asking for GW2 is raising the bar a little high. Like be more specific, some people say Eve online is grind free because you level skill in real time. Some people say MMORPG's are 100% grind.
