But 4.5 billion..damn thats good price.
Well, SWTOR is good until their contract expires (I'd imagine it's 5 years or so, but I hardly know for certain).
Disney has their own software arm, and directly competes against Sony in many areas (Movies, for instance), I don't think that SWG from SoE would be back on the dokket - although maybe we may see another incarnation of the franchise.

Its a building block for the future to come. Us old timers will cherish what we remember. Disney will give the next generation something that they think they will cherish.

No clue. If they are following the books and comics at all, it will be about the Yuzong von (or however it's spelled), but they honestly never felt very "starwarsy" to me.

i'd think something about the future jedi academy and the skywalkers and solos siblings.. hopefully they get fisher, ford and hamill and the rest back to at least have a small role in them

Disney buys LA and announces episode 7, just so happens the next step in the EU is about force sensative children getting into hijinx and helping to save the galaxy. I'd say you're right on.
nope just been reading up and it includes everything, including .... Lucas Arts, they got it all.. shocking .. yes.. but im guessing George decided he'd got as much out of it as was possible.. still for 4.5b .. can't help wondering if maybe Disney paid a bit too much.. like.. massively.. though looking at the data, only half of it was cash, the rest in shares or something, well i say only, 2 billion is.. .. huge..
+1 the Vong never appealed to me either, really not very star wars at all, more like something our of star trek.
As far as SWTOR whatever, the game is dead to me. As far as the legacy of the starwars films, I am quite worried about what Disney is going to do.....

this is a good continuation series showing luke rebuilding the jedi order although they are little bit older now to run this story.. but there's books that take place later on that center around their kids

I agree it was my favorite as well. There's no way Disney is going to touch that content, though.
We can expect to see plenty of sequels following the formula of Episode 1, and a lot of Ewoks. Tons and tons of Ewoks.
They aren't going to use the books. It's at least ten years too late to include Luke/Leia/Han in an episode 7 unless it's all CGI.
The last I heard, Lucas was going to put it in writing that LA couldn't make an episode 7 ever. I guess the $$ changed his mind.
really depends on who they peg for director/writer.. although not the greatest movie I thought john carter was decent for a sci fi movie and shows they can still have some somewhat violent films from disney.. i'm just happy star wars will go on:) honestly though without george behind the wheel I'm actually very excited for the future of the series...

Me too, it's going to be a nightmare imo. Every Disney actor that has ever been involved with Disney will want to be a part of the new movies and they will probably get their wish.
@ the guy who said something about Mickey Mouse with a lightsaber, I'd wager you'll be seeing that sometime in the very near future along with Donald and Pluto.
The only upside I see to all of this is that whatever Disney does with its psuedo Star Wars Universe will bring some joy to kids around the world.
anakins kid has already been done in episodes IV, V, and VI :P and obi-wan never had kids afaik
