Ebonheart: Auriel's Bow zone chat.
This is all it is.
PRESS (Insert #) FOR (Insert keep) GROUP.
Oh and of course bickering.
Is this how it is on every side, on every campaign?
Sure there are a few of us who attempt to organize some kind of group to do something. But if you type "Looking for a few good people to help me sneak attack (insert place)."... you get little to no response. Or, the people you do get, of the 13 who join, 5 of them actually listen and go to where you previously stated the group was going. The other 8 people are random places (most likely with the zerg.)
------------------------------------
(You don't have to read this part, more of a ramble)
Granted it can be difficult to try to get 100+ random people to actually do something constructive together as a unit. Especially when 3 different people are trying to lead (and lead with abuse, rather than fun and understanding.)
I loved GW2 pvp. I loved DAOC pvp. I loved Warhammer PvP.
In all my years of MMO-ing (since 1999) I have never seen so much "PRESS 69 FOR (insert keep) GROUP". Such Mindlessness, such...unorganized activity.
I think this game needs to add a commander "Icon" that costs like a lot of gold/as well as proper pvp rank, to obtain. Not that this is always positive, but I know in GW2 when I had my tag up, people would listen and follow, and things would get accomplished. (Granted, when I led, I led with fun/understanding. There was no "STUPID NOOBS I SAID DON'T GO THERE", from me. It was more "Hey guys I am going here, I could use some help, come if you want!".
The commander icon gave people direction. It gave the confused something to shoot for. Though it cost quite a bit of money, and it sucked that really good commanders couldn't afford to buy it for themselves, It Did Help. It Still Does Help.
Not saying I need to be a commander, but I am saying that right now, on Ebonheart in Auriel's Bow...it is Mostly (not allll the time) a clusterfluck of disorganized people.
------------------------------------
So, is every campaign/side like this? ---> (PRESS 1337 for BRK DEFENSE)... random people joining random groups to do nothing that amounts to any sort of coordination, but merely only join the group because they get more "kill count credit" because they are grouped?

Join a pvp guild that is all.
You can pretty much benefit mostly from PVP guilds in most large scale PVP games. Specially when they use VOIP and the person doing the talking knows what they are doing. Sure large scale PVP can be fun when you try to make groups on your own, but without everyone on VOIP, you are bound to get mindless stragglers like you said. Planetside 1 and 2, SWG, LOTRO monster play, GW2, and Age of Wushu were all PVP games that were fun without PVP guilds and VOIP, but became extremely amazing when being a part of a VOIP using PVP guild that had direction.
As far as the condensed chat to get players into a group... that just makes getting into a group that much easier from the way I see it. Sure it's hit or miss on the quality of player you get that wants the invite, but that comes along with the territory with PUGs.

I did. But was kinda forced out because once the guild leader hit VR1 he decided to say "You aren't welcome in guild PvP unless you are VR1 now"..."If you aren't leveling up to 50 and are doing PvP, you are useless to us"...."You CANNOT create raid groups and invite guildies to PvP with you if you are not VR1."
So basically, I was in a PvP guild that wouldn't let me PvP until I got to VR1. And fortunately for me I have other things in my life that prevent me from rushing to 50, plus I like to enjoy the ride, rather than skip content/rush to 50 and be bored.

But hey, I suppose there are other PvP guilds out there than the one who "zerg invited" every single Ebonheart PvP-er on Auriel's Bow when the game came out.

Meh, my guild has somewhat folded back into playing GW2 (for PvP) as a guild now and probably will be gone from ESO in majority after the month is up, and my posting here is pretty much tapered off to "when I'm bored".
There's just too much wrong with the game to really keep at it for now.
Don't expect things like this this early after release.
Give people time to settle, remember this is a Elder Scrolls game so you might have to deal with people going in deep more so in PVE then PVP. In time this might change, but with a game like this you really need to give it time for it's community to mature into the game.
