You must be able to jump into the future. Can I borrow the delorean? Anyway, some of the stuff is the same, some of it is fresh and new. Just like any expansion really. I agree there should have been more innovative content though.

No, I must be able to read the previews and leaked information about the expansion. Its the same grind, the same classes. New battlegrounds, continent, mounts and raid dungeons. So? Battlegrounds is pointless with the retarded "quit your job, your family, and your life and we'll reward you!" ranking system.

The continent is merely something that should have been released at launch.

Mounts, can't comment on as I haven't read much info on them (I assume they fly, but just barely above the ground. Bliz likes to restrict things. Note the removal of the "bird" form for Druids before beta).

Raid dungeons! Sweet, now we can raid 8 hours a day for gear that is required to raid the next big dungeon that is released.

New classes! Yeah, enjoy playing the lack of new classes. All the Shaman/Pally switch does is remove uniqueness from eachside.

New races! Bloodelf, a remapped Niight Elf. Atleast they put some effort in the Dranei.

If only people realize the game is MMO Lite.

I don't want to be rude but I think you are lacking some of the expansion information. They are changing the ranking system. You will be able to earn honor points and KEEP them, then spend them. Sort of like guild wars. They are keeping a ranking system called the 'Arena System' which is more competative. The honor system will not be the same  as it is now  however, and you will be able to accomplish things without quitting your job. ;)

The game is already huge for it's initial release, I don't see how you think this continent should have been done at release. As far as standards go it is above or at least on par. The mounts will have free-flying enabled in outlands, not just hovering. They will also be able to run on the ground. On the normal continent they will just be ground mounts.

The 'biggest' raid dungeons in the expansion are 25 mans, and the hardest one is going to be a 10 man.

I was actually pretty annoyed at the paladin, shaman thing too. They said they wanted to give it to both the Alliance and the Horde. It was because instead of constently trying to balance them, they wanted to make them more unique. I actually heard from more then several people that paladins were helping Alli a lot with raids, andit would balance us out a bit.

Blood Elf graphics and animations are complete different from nightelves. You can totally tell too. I don't know if anyone could say it was just a copy.

It's not really MMO Lite IMO, however I think it lacks the sophistication other games allow with character builds. I would personally like more freedom.

It's a shame that both games are fantasy...I'm so sick of fantasy games that I could puke...I'm just waiting for the next good sci fi mmo.(please world of starcraf!)

Warhammer won't be anywhere near as popular as WoW. I don't know if I can see it getting any Asian success or whether it will be as 'accessible' as WoW.Still, I think if it can prove as good as people think it could be, it will attract a fair number of people Europe/America and provide Blizzard with some competition for the pvp-minded player.

Aslong as the single celled organisms (otherwise known as WoW players) stay in their "game" all is ok.

I'd much rather not have a lore rich game screwed over by a bunch of "1337 h@x0r P1aya5"

I am in the best guild I have ever been in, and met the coolest people I have ever met online in WoW.

I have played most of those games to your left. With the exception of a couple new ones that are failing anyway.

Don't judge an entire playerbase off of.. whatever you are basing it off of. There are plenty of leet kiddos planning on playing Warhammer.

Is Warhammer anywhere near release? Is it in Beta?

This thread comes up with clockwork regularity. WoW-killers have come and gone with mechanistic precision and yet Blizzard still sits atop their mountain of gold and $100 bills, distinctly untoppled! My point isn't that Blizzard is unassailable but trying to deflect them from their pile of approximately a hodjillion US dollars with product that does not yet exist as such is doomed to failure.

Games, when in the early blooming of promises and dreams, were heralded as the infamous "WoW Killer" before. What people forget is that promises can still be broken. Dreams can still die. So these machines of blood and metal meant to go forth and slay the giant in his lair crumpled before reaching the apex of the glittering gold bricks and likenesses of Benjamin Franklin.

WAR has come like a whispering voice to some, "Only follow me, and ye I will destroy what you hate. I will set you free." Have they forgotten so swiftly the others that have come before it? Promising hard core gameplay and many intriguing features only to see them implemented in a manner that brings pity instead of fear and triumph?

Set WAR not down the dark path. When the glimmers of the Beta have passed and ye your game adorn BestBuys. Then mayhap I will heed you and we shall see what can be seen. All else is but the fevered imaginings of those who believe every word sent down from the developers, rascals and programmers all, is sooth.

WAR is going to be far better than WoW. Many people are going to go to this game soley based on the fact that it was made by Mythic, who made DAOC.

Also, many will stick with WoW, just like they did EQ for so long. But these days, with all the new games comign out, less people will stick to a game as long as they did EQ, considering everything is becoming more and more inovative.

I personally think that I would perfer Age of Conan over WAR though. More realistic and the pvp sounds great, although I bet WAR will also have great pvp, as did DAOC.

Please come to the Warhammer Forums and say that again.

I wouldnt draw the line directly at WoW players. I know alot of DAOC Vets who play(ed) WoW and I wouldnt mind seeing them around.

Regardless, us talking about "wanting or not wanting" a younger crowd in the mmo we play will have no impact on what that younger crowd does.

I don't think WAR will be WOW's rival.  WoW is already coming up with expension that is sure to spice things up and reinvent itself in many ways.  Tho, I really really hate WoW, I just don't have any hope for WAR.

I will put my money on Age Of Conan however.  If AoC doesn't become WoW's rival, WOW will be the king of it's own for years to come.

I actually expect Age of Conan to have a smaller followin than them both, however not actually small itself.
