Ok, so I cancelled my WoW susbscription for the summer. Now that it's winter time, I'm thinking of starting back up. However, I got tired of playing a game that was incredibly unstable. Frequent crashes leading to automatic reboots, constant DCs, worlds crashing, etc.
Has it gotten any better since the April / May timeframe?
My other concern is that I'm getting a new computer. Bought a top of the line XPS 700, complete with Core 2 Duo, 7950 GX2, etc. I'm honestly a little worried that I'm going to get bad performance, based on the WoW forums. I saw a decent number of people running my graphics cards having performance problems, and apparently WoW doesn't like dual core systems. Anyone have any experience with problems like this, or is it most likely a problem with the hardware?
Oh, and can resto druids still outheal resto priests? That always bugged me

I have both a level 60 restro Druid and level 60 Holy/Disc Priest. I think for shorter fights, Druids are still better but for longer fights Priests are better. I think the Druid restoration talents are much better than Holy/Disc.
As far as your hardware is concerned if people are complaining in the forums, then I'd be concerned.
As far as server stablity, I rerolled on a new server back in March and left my 2 hour login queues, server crashes, and lag behind. I'd suggest you stay away from the older servers. Transfer your character to a newer one.
They are still doing hardware work on a long list of servers, and your server might be down for a few days at a time.
i'm using ATI X1800GTO and it work wonders with WoW but still the only games that crashes my pc is WoW. Currently using Pentium D 3.0. I heard from pc technician that Pentium D is still unstable coz there is no mobo to support it, well i still need confirmation of it.
Regarding the server, i playing in a low pop server and havent had a server since i joined 3 months ago. Only a few server reset but nothing much of big problem happening. Oh yeah, i had Alterac Valley crashed a few times ( World pvp BG )
hardware issues like that can really screw with your gaming experience. check your mobo for updates or your memory to see if they are faulty.
