Im confused about the US/European version and the expansion packs

I just downlaoded the trial for DAOC classic and plan on continuing my subscription after the 7 days expires as I really like this game.

Is the 7 day trial that I downloaded a fully fledged installation of DAOC so I can just buy and install Shrouded Isles and install that without problem?

Also I have heard comments here and there about there being a difference between the US and the European versions of the game or the servers or something? Can someone clarify this for me please. I play on Merlin, Lancelot and Morgan. If I buy and install the European versions of the expansions will I still be able to play the characters I have already created on those servers (9 cleric, 6 ranger, 11 shaman)?

    not sure but do you know you can buy the gold edition which comes with daoc, shroud island expansion and housing upgrade for like 20 24 dolllars and it comes with a month free. i think you can play on europe servers and american but i'am not sure. if know one answer right there support in game or ask a advisor maybe in game.

    The U.S. and European games are totally different.  If you want to play on U.S. servers, you must have the U.S. version of the game.  You must have the European distributed version to use European servers.  They are not compatible with each other, including the expansions.
