There's always a battle to be had, a fight to fight. Unless you're a Hardcore/Diehard FPS fan, then this game isn't your style.

If you are not a FPS fan you will not like it.
And considering most people here are RPgers not FPS fans then you are bound to get a bad review of it here.
For a FPS its a very good game .
I went back to it a few weeks ago and couldent beleave how horrible the lag is, was never this bad back during launch suffice it to say I only played a few days, its definetly not worth the money.
Right now im thinking about trying WWII online again but I think I may wait a bit. I gues there is a new graphics upgrade in the works for it. I may wait till that comes to frutation.
My brother still plays this game but it needs at least 768RAM to run medium scale battles smoothly and 1gb at least to run a large scale battle.
It is very hungry for RAM and anything short of a geforce4ti can get laggy.
On a radeon 9800pro 1GB he is running it every smoothly without lag at all no matter the scale of battle. He had same rest when using his old geforce4ti .It ran smoothly but with less frame rates then the rad9800pro.
So the key is loads of RAM.If you got that and a half descent card should run smoothly.
Is learning how to play planetside easy? Why I ask this is because I am intrested in playing it, but I only play MMO's is if they are easy to learn.
Just quit Everquest recently and gave WWII Online and let me tell you it's a great game once you join a squad/guild. Try WWII online lots of nice people who are willing to help, lots and lots of strategy.
Just last night had this great battle as British tanker holding the city of Huy in Belgium. 4 Panzers were coming down this hill and it was so much fun just blasting them. This game is pretty mature lot's strategy involved. The added element of using Teamspeak voice software sure draws you in as you hear squadmates speaking while hearing shelling or firing in the background. The graphics of WWII Online are nothing compared to PS. Let me add WWII online is sound intensive so hearing a headseat helps, You can hear the enemy coming and from what direction.
Instead of PS for the same feel just get Uneal Tournamet 2004, servers are free to play on.
