If you didn't see this tonight, I highly recommend you catch it sometime. Hilarious! It shows the true image of WoW in it's entirety. lol watch it and you'll know what I mean.
I don't have Comedy Central, think it'll be posted on youtube or google videos in the future?

LOL i just saw the episode and i have to say that was hilarious... It remindes me of me and my friends some times... i always tell my mom i am not playing a game but an mmorpg and that i am talking with my friends just through TeamSpeak.
Spoiler is below - - - - my fav part though has to be when cartmen is about to crap his pants and he calls his mom down and she brings a bed pan and he just pulls down his pants and craps all over the pan and his mom... HAHA i laughed so hard i cried. - - - - -
...and one TV show will make the no-life-hardcore-raider-blubber-butt-hot-pocket-eating-pimple-faced-college-class-skipping-bedpan-using -basement-dwelling WoW players actually LOG OFF for half an hour.
i thought it was a great episode... made me sit back and go O M G i am kinda like one of them!!! except i quit WoW in order to focus on school, but i still enjoy the game everyonce in awhile and play a warlock on my friends account. That episode made me want to go out more and play World of Warcraft more so idk.
SPOILER:
My favorite part was when Kyle got Carpal Tunnel and had to stop playing for awhile because his hand was cramping up. hilarious!
Past: WoW, WAR, SWTOR, and too many others Future: Camelot Unchained
It was truly a great way for South Park to kick off its 10th season . Blizzard are truly good sports to allow Parker and Stone to use ingame images in the episode - It was a hoot to hear the voices of Kyyle, Stan ,Cartman and Kenny come out of their WoW Avatars. It should be on again tonight.
I missed it. I forgot that it was on Wednesday and thought it was Thursday night. I'm going to have to see this one, from what i've read it was really accurate. I swear some guys in a raiding guild I was in, had bottles they would urnate in.
I admit that when I used to raid, I'd have a cooler full of beer, water, diet cokes, with some snacks on my desk for raids.
Never had to use a bed pan, and if I did, I'd quit playing.
i was on WoW.com looking at stuff saw the WoW was gonna be on south park wensday 10:00 i was like omg ran down stairs and watched it. im so glad i did it was my favorite south park every.

my fav part was when the blizz guys were like do you have a WoW account and each was like no i have a life and it made me laugh so hard cause if ya think about it most people who play WoW dont have a life lol. i think ill watch it agian tomrrow or whenever.
I dunno whether non-MMO gamers will enjoy this episode but I loved it.
*Spoiler*
Favourite bit about it was just staying true to MMO lingo: "That was uber pwnage" "Looks like you're gonna get pwned" and the bit where Butters makes an identical character to Cartman.
It's good to see Blizz has a sense of humour about itself. However, if I wasn't a gamer, this episode wouldn't lure me in to buy it. If I was a gamer but not an mmorpg gamer, then it would definatley not pull me in. If I played mmorpgs.....
Well, I do, and I've already quit WoW after playing since release
Originally posted by Fion I wouldn't call it the best episode ever, but it was definately an awesome one. They did a good job keeping with the setting too, using fairly good terminology, etc. Until then end when cartman says
"Looks like your about to get PONED"
I was like 'doh!' mispronunciation of pwned there South Park. While a lot of youngin's say it that way, it's the wrong pronunciation. It's actually pronounced 'pweened' as that was the original spelling back in the day about 10 years ago. Sure most the kids these days just say 'owned' with a p on it, thats not the original pronunciation folks.
BAD South Park, BAD!
Oh and South Park pwnz
No it actually is pronounced PONED, it was first used in CS as a quick way of saying 'Pistol Owned' and it was pronounced poned Its just ppl who werent there when it was original used that interpruted it diffrently.

Pwnt, pwned (pronounced poned) and owned were all in Ultima Online way before CS even existed.

you say most of the kids these days say "poned", yet you say SP was incorrect in having 4th graders say it that way?
No one will ever be right where that originated. But I heard it became popular when a warcraft map designer misspelled owned on his map he designed.
Also there is a story that a quake player just misspelled owned while typing too fast (p and o are so close togehter) and it stuck because they thought it was 1337.
Funny as hell. I wondered if the south park season was over ( I want to see more of the darth chef). God, that was a blast from the past. I did know all the locals, it was great. Though with all south parks and family guys, they do generalize to much. I played for over a year and it was moderate. I got my second character to like right at level 40, then stopped. After watching the episode, it makes me miss the game, but I never had success teaming with people and I do have a life, 40+ hour a week job, married, and I can't play all the time. If I could play at little each night, team and have fun again at it, I would play again.
I really liked how Blizzard took the game and fully animated the talking, actions and all the stuff for the in game shots. I am glad no lame animating on that part.
The show was great and with WOW getting over 7 million users, it is getting to be a part of our culture. I really wonder what type of game will topple WOW.
SPOILER
I think the best part was toward the end when stan's dad and the blizzard guys were racing toward the best buy. They didn't have a clue that respawn was ok. heh.
I thought it was hillarious, thanks to whoever it was that provided the video link earlier in the thread. And I say good on Blizzard too, nice to see them not taking themselves to seriously.
That episode will go down as one of my favorites. “Oh no, not THAT guy again” followed by the dancing emote cracked me up. I don’t play WoW, but that episode easily applies to all MMOs.
Is anyone else wondering how many additional accounts that episode will pull in? It was a clever idea to team up and spoof their own product.
That episode would probably be rated as the most watched Southpark episode... The funniest part of the episode is when Cartman yelled "MOM!!!! BATHROOM!"
Comments
Hopefully I'm not spoiling much, but I loved how they had the evil character hopping away from battle just like I've seen so often.
BTW, I'm pretty sure that was a song from Paul Stanley's (from KISS) new album during the kid's level up scene.
Funny stuff.
