    Saga of Ryzom and Eve online are 2 that fit what you are looking for. I like them both myself and both have great communities.

    EVE does have a point and click move system but it makes sense as your pilot a capital ship. think of the orders Patrick Stewart gave on startrek and they fit with what you are doing with the pointing and clicking.

    That said while I don't play it SoR is also skill based and while not my cup of tea I think its what I would play if I was into the fantasy stuff.

    All the games you guys mentioned, are all point and click style controls.

    There are a few I can mantion.

    Jumpgate(flight mmo), Neocron, and Planetside.

    I'm going to give neocron a try. Does it play like a FPS or a traditional MMO?

    FPS with a twist. its twitch-based and there is no lock-on mode.

    This was my first mmo..and it is practically skill based in my opinion..they do a good job in hiding the level factor . But not completely skill based.
