Ok its friday(or err.. sat ) night, What would you be doing if you were still playing SWG?

chlaoschlaos Member Posts: 1,118

Right about this time I would have finished up my harvestor, factory, stocking vendor runs and logged in my combat toon (Candiru).   I would be checking my gear, making sure I had a good stock of food, back up armor, all the consumeables (damn u helios), and everything i might need for a long, long night of group hunting.....     Once I was set for the night, I would wait on my boys to show up to escort this porr little helpless damsell (yeah right) through the wilds of Dant, Dath, or Endor....    While i was waiting, I would start going through my song list so I could prepare my one liners....I had become slightly know on sunrunner for "Candi's music trivia"  where I would tell the group I was hunting with one line from a song, and the first person to tell me the song got 100k or whatever i felt like giving that night ( there were several times I gave a noob a mill or more for a tuff one just to be sweet).   But it broke up the monotony of  hunts and everybody got a kick out of it....  so naahh

So what would you big pimp daddies be doin right now, if you still had a game worth playing?

Why would you be playing on a friday or saturday night?

Had a great time tonight watching a comedy in the UK live :)

Ummm...Well, cause I used to like playing the game.  I wold dedicate one of the two nights on the weekend to drinking heavily and entertaining my guild online and the other night I would go out in rl with my friends, and well, pretty much do the same thing.    Which part seemed strange to you , the weekend part or the playing?  Just for clarification, I am talking about back when there was a game worth palaying.  Im not attacking you just curious what you meant?

back when the game was fun, weekends would be spent in deep space shooting rebels,

or just hunting. maybe hanging out at mos eisely cantina.

  • majochmajoch Member Posts: 599
Friday night was harvester rounds, socializing in the cantina then usually everyone would grab a round of missions and head out.

This kind of post makes me sad.  :(

Our guilds forums are so dead,  when a year ago we were make all sorts of plans for the future, events, recruitment, etc..  Then NGE killed it.

    Fighting the Gimps on Bloodfin.

Or helping guildmates grind something.  I ran excellent spin groups pre NGE.

Currently I am grinding my High elf female wizard to level 28 in EQ2.

Most likely a little shopping, making sure i have enough buffpacks for the week-end. Then maybe a round of buffing at coronet and then send pm's to my buddys to see if they want to go kill something. I used to do the ressource gathering more sat or sunday.

Sorry I didn't mean to come off as critical of your post.

It was beer for me, unless I was out, then it was cheap wine.  If that wasn't availble, bourbon and water.

The biggest part of the preparations was spending some time with my wife first so that she wouldn't feel neglected.

Like Chlaos, I would have just finished crafting my special orders, working the factories, and stocking the vendors.  Then I would tell Babacca I was done with my "work" (which I enjoyed the way it was, thank you very much Helios), and we would decide if we were going to attempt one of the POIs to get attachments or holos to sell to Jedi, or if we would just look for some good avian meat and slaughter a few hundred creatures and keep his doctor supplies current.

If the guild was doing something and needed our advanced, kick butt help, we'd go give them a hand with whatever, though we avoided group hunts in general since we would accidentally hog all the XP.  If Bacca was not on, I would wander around looking for newbs to help, or head off into space to gather more RE parts.

Sigh, tonight I'll login to this forum and bitch about how bad the NGE sucks until the wife is ready for the only fun left in my life.

Actually it didnt leave it out so much as it was stated as an alcoholic bev poll.  So it was discriminatory maybe but not so much missing the diet coke (which i luv too by the way)  LOL

Most likely a Geo bunker run or a Grevious run depending on the group we could put together.  If not much other guildies on probably shopping or doing space.  Ahhhh the good old days....I miss SWG (pre NGE)

Like I just mentioned in the other thread, I stay away more for my liver (it seems to be sensitive and produces too many enzymes in relaxed state, so I am careful).

I had a Master Rifleman / Master Weaponsmith (later Master Shipwright) named Bradshaw Lightyear on Ahazi and Bradius on Shadowfire.  I created Bradshaw as a joke really.  I made a balding toon that looked like Terry Bradshaw just to show my son-in-law the character creator.  He turned out to be much better than my official toon I had on Kauri initially so I stuck with him and got him some hair implants.  Terry ought to look into getting some black hair installed, because my version of him was quite the ladies man.

LOL...thats great, and yeah I got sidetracked on the alcohol thing.  I was really meaning to talk about what we did preparing ingame for a weekend night of hunting or whatever...   Implants, i luv it....

Didn't have a specific Friday night activity in the game.  That was one of the great things about SWG pre-cu, all the choices a person had.

I would have been using my crafter, Wyeth, to check my harvesters for power and credits, empty them if necessary and then would be surveying resources and making changes to SWGCraft.com.

Then I would check the boards to see what bone/hide Armorsmiths are looking and take my Ranger into the wilds to get it for them.

I still fondly remember my guild's first succesful DWB run... BANE OF THE OVERLORD..

Before the DWB became a loot whore camp.

Wyeth, your name sounds familiar.  Did you just play on Chilastra?  It may be from the forums, or i may just be delusional.   Anyway, just rambling....
