Just wanted to let all the winners of the beta contest know that we are still trying to get status of your accounts. NPCube has had your list since Friday...I sent a message over 24 hours ago requesting a status update and have still heard nothing.
I will keep you updated as I get info. If it makes you feel better the staff still don't have theirs

but on the bright side.. if it's taking them this long to put out a new version.. the beta is probably gona last a long time.
Boring isn't exactly the word I'd use for it but I guess it'll work
It's to the point where I think we're gonna need weekly updates on our status, somehow I get the feeling if someone doesn't keep reminding them about us that they will forget us.
IMO if they weren't ready for us they shouldn't have let mmorpg.com hold the contest until they knew for a fact that they were OR they should have put in a disclaimer saying that admitance was not immediate, like the Wish and UXO contests here. Both of those told you straight out that admitance was not right away. Oh well I guess 20/20 is hindsight, 6 of one half dozen of the other, and all that good stuff. What is done is done, Now it's just a waiting game with the lights off and in the dark.

?It's only been two weeks since some won those coveted DaL beta slots? Seems like at least a month. So far they still have not even bothered to contact the winners! Much less send that required NDA so at least the initial paperwork could get out of the way!!
It's actually been 3 weeks today, they requested the list of winners from mmorpg.com 2 weeks ago ( 1 week after contest end ) and have not contacted any of the winners as of yet.
They did respond to admin's inquiry onto the status of the winning accounts ( took them a few days to do that however ) I won't disclose the exact info that admin forwarded to us from them but let's just say it obviously wasn't enough to fill us in on what is going on.
Oh well, not much we can do about it at this point, it is out of the winner's hands and we just have to have faith that the staff here is doing everything they can to take care of business for us.
I know that I have been checking my email everyday looking for the "winning ticket". Hopefully they also put the list up here just in case the miswrote my email.
I hope someone gets in at least so that they can tell us about it, and who knows maybe it will be me!
The list of winners was already decided and the winners have already been issued their winning tickets. MMORPG.COM has fulfilled their end of the contest by holding the contest and issuing a list of winners. Everyone who won already knows that they have done so. The issue now is just the waiting in the dark for the DnL team to actually award the prizes.
It's kind of like buying a lottery ticket, then on the night of the drawing you find out you have all the numbers. The next day you go to cash in that ticket only to find that the state's lottery headquarters have gone on vacation until further notice. So there you are sitting around with the multi-million dollar winning ticket, you know you are a millionaire but you can't do a damned thing about it until lottery hq decides to let you cash it..............in other words, it's frustrating waiting

Basically they don't want to let the winners into beta until they finish the 0.7 build of the beta...which should be any time now.
Still waiting to get a better ETA from them. I think this is a good thing though, because the game lacks most content right now - I think the .7 build will give you more to play with

Means more time cooking, cleaning, sorting the house out, going to work without pulling a sicky so I can play mmorpgs....

Actually it's been just under 3 and half weeks since we won, this friday will be a month ( not that it makes it any better heh )
You're right though, it probally will be another week before we hear anything again, that'll be when they email admin to tell him they turned the servers on so the accounts should be ready within 4 days or something like that.
I predict that when the game is released................12 hours later we will get our accounts. At least that's how it's starting to feel.
Bah, I need to shut up, I'm starting to come off waaay to bitter and I might say something I'll regret lol
Guess it's back to DAoC and Ryzom and checking my email every hour "There are no new messages on this server" is a term I am becomming very familiar with
Im thinking about sending them a email to ask myself. Anyone know what adress i should send it to? ;D

it's just so damn frustrating when you want something so badly
and all you can do is sit and wait (or have fun with your gf e.g.
Ryzom is kinda the same, i'm still waiting for that CD (they wrote me, it was shipped a month ago)
but that's kinda off-topic here.
The point is:
a word every now and then would be nice
we are doing them a favour by testing there stuff, or am i wrong?
(i'm not saying we don't get anything out of it)
oh and excuse every mistake/misspelling i have made, english is not my native language.
