ok this game is going to be horrrrrrible first the pvp system well its stupid. second the game is going to be filled with lotr fanbois who prolly get pissed if it isnt exactly to the book.
as a MMO this game will be the crap that is on the bottom of my shoe prolly worse then dark and light..
as a lord of the rings game, thew fans finally got thier wish and there is a mmo for lotr. but ill bet you that the game gets ruined just like swg because everyone will want to be some alpha class like a mage or a ranger and the devs will give in
good luck with this crap mmo

First, you have obviously not read a whole lot on the game and are trolling to get a rise out of everyone.
The PvP system is stupid to you. You do not equal the entire gaming population. The reason it's not being included to the extent that you may want is because of the story and lore involved. Last I remember nowhere in the books were the hobbits at war with the humans in some random battlefield. I understand why it's not there, and yeah, I'm not to thrilled about the monster PvP thing - but until I try it out or get a lot of feedback from others who have, I'll keep anything else I further have to say about it to myself.
There are religious fanboys and ignorant haters (this is you) with every MMO. This one is no different. If you don't like the game then don't play it. I don't think LOTRO will have any issues eclipsing the quality and polish of Dark & Light.
Again, if you've read up on the game you'll know that there is no wizard class. There are very few "Gandalfs" in the realm of Middle-Earth, so to tie into the lore there won't be an uber mage class.
All in all, your post is misinformed, and the parts that are opinion are just pointless and prove nothing.
(To the OP)
... No I'm pretty sure that you posting this topic is the worst idea "evar"
in june 07 when the game comes out and it ISNT dx10 ISNT pixel shader 4 .. and looks ehh you will see.. this game is like if a company was developing a xbox (not xbox 360) game for next year its silly..
either way they still havent stated who they are making the game for.. is it a 6 to 12 year olds game.. like disney toon town or is it for every day mmo players who hate pvp with risk ( those who play wow non pvp servers), or is the game being made for crazy fanatic lotr people.. sorta like DnD online which sucks balls. and was basically made for the D&D fanatics

Snowman22, then this game isn't for you. I'd rather they stick to the lore. They stand a much bigger chance of making money that way than they would if they catered to nothing but PvP fanbois (how does it feel to be insulted with the word fanbois huh? When you actually make a reply that doesn't insult someone, maybe then I can take you seriously).
i didnt attack anyone in preticular .. but thanks for singling me out guys.
anyway the monster play pvp? have you read it yet? basically its arena PVP in a larger area.
if they are going to let players control NPCS why not let it be in the open world make the game hard .. human controled MOBS would be much harder to kill then AI. and would make the game very fun. i liked the idea of monster play as the small info that was given said "player controled mobs in the world".
i took this to mean that , to use a WoW comparison ( btw i hate wow), it would be like a who guild controling BWL as mobs and bosses while another guild attacks with thier players. HOW cool would that of been. suddenly lame tatics of keeping your party in spot a wouldnt work anymore.
but insted turbine fell for the " i dont want someone to kill my hobbit while he walks around" . lotr was writen about WAR and death .. yet there is none in the game... it would be like a mmo about WW2 where theres no nazis cause some panzy cried about it...
Second, just because YOU like PvP doesn't mean alot of other people do.
Third, Turbine's controlled by their contract with TE. Therefore what TE says goes. The kind of PvP you're talking about is so lore breaking it's not even funny. In your version of PvP, you can attack anyone, anywhere, at any time. That never happened in the books. TE wants it to be lore appropriate and TE controlls the license, not Turbine. Enough said.
ok lol. Note english error are in red are in red self thoughts are in blue.
p.s I usally dont care but this is funny
I miss DAoC
Look, its not my fault that you are ashamed to be a carebear.
But you know, as well as I know, that this is strictly a carebear game.
One quick glance at the official boards provides the proof needed.
I'm not a carebear, but once again I'll thank someone for assuming things about me without knowing me.
We're not stupid and I think most of us can gather at this point that this isn't an MMO with the PvP gamer in mind. So I'm just failing to understand why people feel the need to share the obvious with the rest of us over and over again. We get it. No real PvP. Carebear jokes. Ok.

Well that sums it up
i agree if you couldnt tell
You didn't play the game so your opinion is about... worthless.
+You didn't even bother to read atleast something about this game.
I don't know what's up with this forum. More and more retards are poping up. They join forum, flame players that don't like PvP/Like PvP, they falme game that they don't like/players that like it. Morons...
being a person that played the beta. this game was exceptionally polished at tis current phase of alpha 2/3/4 which i was in.
there is obvious work, improvements that need to be made , thats granted. but otherwise i was impressed at the overall stability of the game, the inclusion and voluntary interaction of the devs, and GM and of course good ol' TIGGS! I was in her guild extra crispy. I was amazed at the prompt responses from GM's.
but most of all to be brief, the sound was good, the environment was rich, dynamic, full and vibrant. the animations although from time to time looked a bit static and stiff, was overall done quite well and was full and smooth and good range. the quest system was done nicely, good story arc, rich plots and interactions thru multiple NPC's, good use of "epilogue" quests, good crafting system. the engine looks to be a variation of DDO but done quite well, actually looks alot better than DDO itself. when you jump into the game your introduced into a LOTR movie type element which makes you aware of whats going on int he world, and your role within the LOTR universe. overall i think it has some good potential, and I will be looking at this one as it near its completion and final slated release.
