in World of Warcraft

This is a hard one but which game do people play more counter strike source or wow

there is alot of css players and  wow players vote

    acctualy i think it exists a hell lot more account of HALF-LIFE since counter strike only is like a "addon" to half-life.

    and yes i think there is more the 5 million half life players out there.

    Good question, hard to know really. CS has tons and tons of players, so does WoW obviously.

    I'd probably tip the scale in CS's favor though, as there's no monthly fee, it's not exactly a fair comparison.

    There might be some 5 million people who have CS installed but how many of those would continue to log if they paid $15.00 a month for the service? Probably less then WoW I would imagine. Or maybe not, who knows.

    well, let's see: WoW current player base 7 millions.

    Half life sold copies: 8 Millions.

    Very hard that all those 8 millions are still playing CS, right?

    Half Life 2 sold "only" 4 millions copies, so i would say at the moment WoW seems to have more players thanks to asian markets. (NA+EU is 2-3 millions and there CS users could be more).

    Of course sale data do not include digital downloads now prevalent with Steam... but still I would say that Worldwide WoW has more users, but in the Western nations, CS users are more. the absence of a monthly fee and more immediate gameplay prolly the deciding factors :D

    What does it matter? You can only play against the number of people playing on your shard/server at any one time.

    Yes WoW is dieing, Every month the subsriber base increases and with BC coming out I wouldn't be suprised if the finally hit the 7 mil mark but its dieing .
    DOAC is still the MMO I judge other games by, My first and still my favorite.

    I still have my Steam account after like 5 years on it.. I hardly play CS anymore .. haven't played it for like 4 years... I tried Half-life 2.. its awesome..but just gets boring. I been playing WoW since December 2004 and still playing currently

    CS has more palyers. Can't just go by how many copies are sold, everyone I know has steam and you can just get it there. WoW won't die for many years because its cartoonish graphics and easy gameplay will always attract kids like the OP. But most will jump the boat as soon as something better comes out.

    well when you put that poll thing in a WoW Forum most likely more people are going to vote for WoW unless it just is horrible but i don't think it is better way to do it would be to put it in a normal forum instead of a forum for WoW

    and i know this isn't everyone because not everyone has xfire but on www.xfire.com it shows how many minutes have been played on each and it is......

    WoW=3,309,572 minutes                  CSS=2,017,808 minutes

    hehe im hoping that WoW wont die to fast, its a good game when playing with friends and having a blast in instances whe nyou are chatting on your guilds vent server, or ganking noobs in low level areas :P
