Thinking of returning?!?!? OMG really...

Seme history...

I played UO in what some would refer to as "the glory days"
Pre Trammel was my best playing days... I played through the trammel era and then quit...

I had five 7x GM on Atlantic and three 7x GM on Lake Superior... I sold my account... ssssssh for a hefty sum of cash

I had "Reds".... I had Anti Reds and PvPs... i had warrior mages etc etc

I could self sustain EVERYTHING if I wanted to witrhout buying anything, GM fletchers and GM miners and GM blacksmiths galore!


Now the real question... could a HARDCORE(READ... 14 hours a day during middle school and HS) emmerse back into Ultima Online? Is it possible?

God I want to duel someone again!!! Freeze... Explode... EBolt....Freeze... explode... ebolt... This kind of things work anymore? Is there free reign PvP throughout the game...

I heard a rumor you cannot even attack players in dungeons anymore?

    I am in the same boot you are, I had it all as well, and I was on Atlantic like you.  I had a tower, a two story, and a small house.  By the time I quit there was a one house per account rule put in but I kept what I had because they didn't take it away.  I miss UO like hell and want to get back involved, but I just don't think it is the same game I fell in love with back int he beginning.  I am going to try the free trial.  If anyone who has played from the beginning or has played for a long time can help us old school UO players understand what the game is like and help us understand the pros and cons of the changes implemented in UO it would be appreciated.

    word to this, I was doing some reading and I dont even know what is going on... I am trying to get my info from my second account out of EA to reactivate it... it has a couple GMs and what not on there, no gold or anything but the skill is there... That is all I need to get it rolling again!!!

    I dont even know how to get to 120 skill!?!?!?

    Well, I bit the bullet to go see what UO has turned to...

    I left right at Trammel. Is there any quide for Us old scoolers that explains the new stuff in a nutshell?

    After playing for the last 6 year , I almost quit , but with all the real cool changes , fixes and additions coming soon , I decided to stay..May take some getting used to if havent played in a while .

    uo stratics has been keeping up to date on everything that has changed over the time but there is alot to read since then lol

    Im playing again I had multi 7x Gm's on Atlantic and LA but any old schooler coming back i would really suggest starting a char on siege. The regular shards everyone runs completely insured siege is more open you can bless one item and everything else you carry is lootable/stealable.

    Well, I think I've given up again. Got lost pretty quickly and met NO players at all. Don't feel like starting a new character again on another server either, seeing as I'd likely be playing alone anyway.

    Ah well, will live on the memories I guess.

    I was thinking of doing this, everything is definately insured and wont get to loot anyting

    still working on my character, I had to make a new one

    all my characters were deleted for some reason so I am starting over... its almsot fun though :)

    I made quit friends and in the largest guild...

    I think they liked me 70 month vet rewards... i look like im a badass character!!!

    I re-activated my account the beginning of this week.  WHile, it isn't the same UO we all played...it still has that UO feel to it.  It's still the best game out on the market right now, in my oppinion. 

    When in other games would you log in you house and see a treasure hunt monster standing at your door step?  This game is still "you do what you want" and not quest oriented.  I'll stick with UO for more years to come....the other games just don't compare to Old UO or New UO.
