hey guys, ive been off World of warcraft now for at least 6 months, and iam currently looking for a new mmorpg, ive tried many diffrent games like City of Villians Dunegons and dragons RF online, and none of them have done it for me. I geuss what iam most interested in and if anyone know of one is a game that has a similer combat system as world of warcraft. What i like the most about it is the freedom of movement , your not just standing in one spot pressing buttons in world of warcraft you can jump do a 360 and fire blast somone etc etc. I also like the grouping system, working together to get items, although the downfall of that is spending 8 houres infront of your computer trying to kill one boss and people nerdraging there ass's off at you if you fuck up. I'm intersted to hear if anyone is in my position or if anyone can advise me to any other games they think i might be intersted in.
thanks!

I was going to say the same thing.
From my own experience, EQ2 and WOW are very similar in gameplay.
Would be nice to see something similar in a pvp oriented game but no suck luck.
If you want something that looks to be harder than WoW- read up on Vanguard. It's gonna be much harder than WoW though- there will be no maxing of these toons in a couple months !! Not a game for the faint of heart- travelling and corpse recovs are gonna take a crew to survive- but I'm looking forward to a challenging game. Gonna be 20-60-20 in content- 20% solo, 60% group, and 20%raids.
Release date is guestimated at the beginning of Jan-March.
P.S. You can cut down trees and be a lumberjack in Vanguard!! You can be a carpenter in VanGuard!! You can build your house wherever you want!! WooHoo!!
If you can get over the jumping around fixation I'd suggest Saga of Ryzom, it's relatively point and click although you can change to WSAD if you like and the movement is just as flexible once you become habitualized. Although you will somewhat restricted at first, give a chance though, it grows on you. It has a nice little community, good game play, over skill leveling, really solid crafting and probably the best environments of any game on the market right now.
EQ2, as someone has already mentioned, is very much so worthy a try most especially if your really into questing. The movement is similar to WoW in that you can jump around to hearts content if you wish but again compared to WoW it does feel some what restricted as you pretty much need to be planted firmly to do anything. Nice graphics, decent community (if not somewhat elitist), pvp is ok but not great by any stretch of the imagination.
Lineage 2 is a very good game also with tons of depth between PVE, PVP and castle sieging, most defanitely not for everyone though. Movement is restricted to pretty much point and click, WSAD can be had but it's tedious at best, sorry jumping for you here. The grind is an absolute brutal experience, for example, to reach lvl 80 in L2 you can easily lvl two accounts filled with lvl 60 chars in WoW, it's a monster. Upside to that is L2 isn't all about getting to max level, you can do very important and very big things before your at the end all and be all of lvl's. Lots of downsides to the game, but lots of ups too if you want a more serious, traditional type of MMO.
Other games of note you might want to put on your list would be Eve (I can't play it but very big for some people), MxO (great little game that sadly needs lots of work) and SWG.
Games to watch out for, The Chronicles of Spellborn and I keep saying this but no one is paying attention, this game is going to be a sleeper hit, it has all the makings of a wonderfull MMORPG with actual concentration on the RPG part, look into it for sure.
Important Information regarding Posting and You
Ok, true. However, be warned, the PvP servers of EQ are where the most immature brats spend all of their time camping/ganking the lowest level players they can find. There no honor, no good reason to PvP except to piss off players, no thrill unless squashing bugs under your boots stiffens you up.
Not unlike WoW.
