How are bards?

SevenwindSevenwind Member UncommonPosts: 2,188

I love playing bards. I play one in EQ2 currently and a little bitty one in EQ.

Just looking for some opinions on bards in DDO. Are they fun class to play? Get groups easily? Hard class to play?

I love playing my bard! you can heal, buff, crowd controll, good skills and not to bad in combat... and being the 2nd best healer ingame, you will NOT have any problem getting groups (you probably get blind invites even when you are not looking for group).

Thanks for the reply! I was wondering also if you could tell me is a hard class to learn? I'm not familiar with D&D ruleset and all that. I tried the trial but I'm still level 1, i'm trying to learn to get around the horrible UI.

I like the game so far but the UI is the pits.

I had no earlier experience with D&D (cept for a brief Neverwinter try out) and i learned it pretty quick. By lvl 3-4 I would think you will have pretty good idea what bards all about...

Acouple pointers on lvl 1 spells... Hypnotism, heal light wounds, Ex. retreat and ottos dance. that should get you started on the right track ;)

I know the UI is alittle cluncky, but it grows on you....
