Ive been playing wow for 2days now

and the game is way better then any mmo

if u wanna fight players can duel

u can get flying animals and they have races,countrys and classes and the world is huge

1 part of the world takes like 15min to get threw and theres like 25parts graphics are good so are the quest

the game rocks

Because the game was designed to be really simple to pick up by anyone who can read at the same time it allows expert players to execute masterful gameplay. WoW gives you the feeling that you are achieving something and minimizing any sort of frustrations and feeling of failure and tedium. They hide their grinds very well thru hundreds of tasks and quests. Instead of just saying "Go kill 10 wolves" they put a storyline behind it giving you a reason to go kill those wolves. That is the mastering of the art of story telling in game design.

The same quest in a different package isn't masterful storytelling. The closest they come to that is the class specific quests you get to recieve new abilities. All the other quests are the same kill/gather quests with different mobs. The only thing I hand WoW is that the game was incredibly complete upon release which is something to be said now-a-days. For what it is WoW is a good game, it's just not a good game for me.

What you mean is that most quest involves you killing stuff or retrieving something for the quest giver. If that is what you mean then yeah, 99% of quests in most mmorpgs are like that. I mean what else can they ask you to do ? What construe a masterful story telling is taking the simplest series of task and making it into an epic tale.

WoW is a fun game for awhile, possibly even quite awhile, but it gets very boring much sooner than other MMORPG's I've played. Just my 2 cents worth. Thank you.

Some people will like it certainly but I would cite it as overrated from the experience of someone who has tried a few mmorpgs. It is, however, probably along with EQ2 the only real choices when it comes to mmorpgs nowadays as most of the older mmorpgs have aged considerably.

Amazing, one wonders how many MMOs you have actually played, from the looks of it, its only WOW, and the CORPG Guild Wars.

Every single item you just listed is in other games, in fact, is rather common in the MMORPG world. WOW when created, bummed off of multiple games, copying the features they implemented. This is not necessarily a bad thing, it has made it into a rather well built game, if one with poor graphic design and horrid community, but dont tout the features as if they were unique.

Been a MMORPG gamer since EQ retail. Played WoW since beta and its a fantastic game.

Granted its simple and its community leaves room for improvement. But the game is bug free, reliable servers, regular patches, filled with content up to your eyeballs and you can login and actually have FUN! Which alot of Devs seem to forget that is the reason we play games.

Every night I come on here and look at all the games on the market and to each game I think to myself... "Is this worth me canceling my WoW subscription?" And every time I play the trial and find a resounding "NO!"

Well, I love WoW. I can understand some of the arguement that WoW is too easy only if such an arguement is based solely on the difficulty of leveling up a character to top level. Sure EQ1 took forever to get to lvl 50, then 60, then 65, then whatever they raised the level cap to after I quit. That wasn't "hard," it just took forever. It was kind of like chopping down a tree with an axe. It's a lot of repetative work. WoW, on the other hand, is more like using a chainsaw. It gets the job done quicker.

WoW is not easy when you hit the end-game. The amount of coordination required for the top end encounters far surpasses anything EQ ever had. In EQ1 all you needed was a good tank and a good group of clerics. The rest of the raid could have been complete morons and you could still win. Not so in WoW, just look to Twin Emps and beyond.

When you play it to level 60 and can't get into a raiding guild or don't have the time to raid you'll get bored very quickly. Nothing like paying 15 bucks a month to sit in Orgrimmar LFGing for 5 hours straight for instances or quests most players dont run because they are in raiding guilds.
