Yea dude, I hardly notice my leveling when I am questing.
Take a deep drink of your demon Lad, tonight we tangle with the fire in the gut.
However, regarding pets, unless you get a rare pet, like a Blue/Red Pixie, Orc, Skelleton, Siren or Yeti, it's not worth it. This is because your pet will take a slight portion of your XP as well as your Job Points (points you use to purchase new skills, or improve your current skills or raise your current Job Level)
But i'd certainly say give it a go. The drop rate has improved as of the latest major patch, so no more sky high prices for cubes and cards.
Rappelz gets 2 thumbs up for giving me ages worth of fun for free... hehehe.

PS: Don't go to the PVP server even if you love and adore pvp (Such as I do) as you'll find yourself rerolling on a different server, as the PVP server is broken at the moment, with no indication that the devs' will change the way it operates.
You can still PVP on the other servers, however equipment will not be lost.

the first time i play rappelz was when its open beta, lol i tried, it HOLDs me for about 5 hours, then i stopped

Rappelz just cant seem to get its act together . I tried for 2 months to work with the GM about server crashes , roll backs , duping and other issues that effects the paying folks. So after getting no where I did a charge back on the stuff I bought , and left.
Rappelz is a decent game , but its unbelievable how broken the server stuff is. And how post 30 it becomes Final Fantasy XI , most of my chars (I had 5 on every server) required a cleric to do anything post 30. My Kahuna became worthless around 36 , because his HOT sucked beyond anything I ve seen. I had +2 card and lvl 9 base water. It couldnt keep up with damage , or was too slow.
Parties would fold with the cleric death. Its terrible game post 30 if you want to do anything .. now with the nerf to -10 levels in monsters , the quests you get post 30 are pretty much worthless. At 40 , I was facing lvl 28 monsters , no drops , just the quest.
At 40 it becomes mindnumbing , you kill the same monster or boss over and over , never to leave the dungeon.
I was so happy when I got 2 ancient rapiers, then to find out the display and numbers of duel wield were off so bad. Even the patch hasnt improved the display. Its off bad.
