So far, I have been reading up on this game a bit, reading the posts and it sounds pretty fun. and as I am downloading the trail I was just woundering, whats a good attraction for a new player? Thanks guys.
Umm..if you mean attraction as in something cool to see then go to the Eve gate. If you mean it as something to do then it would have to be missions or mining until you can get into a corporation.
Well I have been playing the game for about an hour now, its a little tough finding things to do at my low level with little cash. But interesting non the less, ill keep going with it for awhile.

I cannot stress this enough: DO THE TUTORIAL Once you have finished the tutorial go to the Agent that EVE refers you to. Do their missions. At the end you get a nice reward which you can sell (do not quicksell! List it!) for decent money. After all is said and done you should wind up with just north of 1mil or so ISK (possibly more depending on which implant the agent gives you to sell).
THEN worry about 'finding things to do'.
Trust me, you'll learn a ton from the tutorial.

try opening up the recruitment channel in the channels and mailing lists tab... try and find a player owned corp to take you in and show you the ropes... they will help you with ships and equipment.

Ok, I did the tutorial and I had fun with the agent's missions after I see what you mean, it really leads on to a lot more but unfortunately I cant find a friendly corp who would show me more in-game. Almost no corps accept 14-day trial users, which is a shame because I do want to buy this game, but I need a bit more reason.

EVE University I believe will accept trial members. Use the in-game "recruitment" channel or look them up in the recruiting forums on the official site.

AHH yes I had forgotten they have their own channel Go to the channel tool and add EVE University Should come right up. They'll direct you to where you need to go.
