Anyone tried the Killer NIC card?

Just wondering since it seems to be advertised all over MMORPG.com. I went to the Newegg hotlink and the user reviews for it so far don't look so great. image Kinda spendy for a POS that may or may not work on your system.

    kinda reminds me of QEMM as they phased out during windows and tried to convince people a RAM drive would increase your PC's performance

    Its a scam. It allegedly gives youre network a 0.15% performance/speed boost or some shit, but it only "works" in LAN.

    Wern't LAN parties teh cool back in 1999? So I heard.  Excuse me while I lug my tower around. Cord tripping was a form of griefing. image I'm sure some people still find this excitingimage, some place in India maybe.

    Pretty sure you can get much much much more performance increase for $270 than spend it
    on a product that half the users say do not even make a difference or totally screwed up
    their computer.

    Dunno .. water cooling ... overclocking ... blah blah blah ... much better things to do with
    that kind of cash ... might as well buy a freaking Wii while your at it.
