Okay, I am like an MMORPG freak and still haven't found a single game I am obsessed with (except Second Life but thats just a pain in the *** for really really stupid reasons). I have tried all these games and hate them after 1-3 months:
SWG, FFXI, DAoC, PT, AC, AC2, AO, PE
Could like someone tell me a really good game to try. I am in the beta for many of the upcoming games like COH and Ryzom but I want to know of like the best MMORPG ever. I was thinking that maybe TFLO might be but I am not sure about buying and XBox and being disappointed sooo I would just like your guys' imput.

If not for its age I would say EQ myself.
i find suggesting mmorpgs very hard, cause you always have to decide on ur own, check out ur preferences, see if u can stick to it for longer, yada yada yada... BUT: i played eve for bout half a year and for that time i was really, really addicted. so if u dont mind some spacefights instead of running around slaying orcs for some time, give it a chance - u can d/l from their homepage, but it has no free trial.
u might also want to check out horizons, tho i beta tested it and i think it sucks badly... but hey, it got a trial now.

Are you looking for any MMORPG? Tell me what you're interested in (fantasy, sci-fi, wild west, fantasy-scifi, etc.). Asheron's Call I WAS a good game before they made it so you could make level 70 in like 2 days... Darktide on AC1 is entertaining though, because it's actually challenging to play without a guild. Planetside is a good game if you like the fps category... In short, I'm not playing any MMORPGs right now because I don't believe any of them are good, or those that WERE good don't measure up to their standards any more, sadly enough. So just tell me what you're looking for and I'll suggest some. I've played quite a few and have hopes for others.

well its free, only thing I like in this game is pking, they got new graphics update recently...
good pay mmorpg: Dark Age of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis
I'm still playing Trials lots of quests to do.

I like Fantasy RPGs, but more stylized like Final Fantasy (anime) and less Dungeons and Dragons. The game has to have good interaction with other players, story doesn't matter. MOST IMPORTANTLY, my computer runs pretty advanced games OK, but I have a 56k modem

Who got the idea to make an anime and a game based on an MMORPG, but not an actual MMORPG?
Well you have two choices.
1) Stay away from MMO games forever as they are not the type of game for you. You tried pretty much all the decent ones except for maybe EQ. You would probably hate that as well
2) Wait until CoH, World of Warcraft or EQ2 to come out and give those a try.
Right now I love playing FFXI. I haven't even come close to seeing everything in this game yet and I've been playing since retail. I'm also playing Lineage 2 Beta as well. Seriously though, if you've played all those MMO game for 1-3 month and hate they, but still like the genre, you either need to go back and play them for another 3-6 months or try a different genre.
