I just canceled my account last week the 2nd time and this time I wont come back I guess. The addon which really is no addon to me, it just doesnt add anything new just the same thing in an other fashion. It just will be again RAID, RAID, RAID and no other options at all. No thx.
I mean overall I like WoW alot but there is just little to do in the game, if you dont like to raid at endgame you really have no options at all this is which pissing me so off and the addon wont change anything.
I bought now EQ2 and playing that till one of these games coming out AION, Sacred 2, Hellgate: London, Vanguard, Warhmmer Online, UT2007.
So in other words no Iam not excited about the addon, in fact it doesnt interest me at all it can die in a fire i dont care ^^.
In a way yes, I'm interested to see how it all pans out. They are planning really some quite huge pvp changes. -> emphasis on longer fights. -> Arenas -> CC impact reduced -> Matchmaking system for BGs and Arenas -> Pallies on horde, shamans on alliance -> The new abilities/talents -> The World pvp objectives in BC -> The new BG
Potential problems of loopholes for the matchmaking system, the arena flareout on the forums about certain combinations.

I lost my faith in their pvp sensibilities as well. I don't think they know what they are doing and only seem to be able to do half ass copies.
In general I don't think they seem to understand the consequences of what they enact, or maybe don't really care.
Nerfing Addons = No Decursive = No Healers = No Raids
You tell your Healers to L2P, that's nice you just forced your only healers to quit .. how you gonna raid now? Recruit some healers? O rly? No one is rolling them anymore.

Players lived without Decursive before, they'll do it again.
Ico Oh, cruel fate, to be thusly boned. Ask not for whom the bone bones. It bones for thee.

That's the thing, most can't turn back Do you not see all the those healers that are already quitting / rerolling on forums?

People 'promise' all sorts of things on forums. : ) I remeber all the 'I quit posts' by Druids when Furor was broken. Sure, some may have actually carried through with their statements, but I doubt most did.
I'm not arguing that Decurvise won't be missed, but I'm sure players will get used to living without it. Having said that, players should press Blizzard for better decursing management. Imo, Blizzard's done a decent job of implementing a number of add-on aspects, such as scrolling combat text and raid assistance.

I like WoW but am not excited enough to come back for this expansion. I will play it again, but will wait for the next expansion after BC. By then I will be ready to raid again and have 2 expansions worth to see. Provided I don't go back to EQ1 or some other game and get burned out on raiding there.
By the time the 2nd expansoin comes out, WoW will have had time to deal with the healing issue as well. The healing classes are rebelling over on the WoW boards, saying how boring it is. Nothing new there but Blizzard needs to somehow get more people to play healers or there won't be enough around for everyone to have fun.
I have never been excited about BC. I will buy it for my son, but I don't think I'll buy it. I've canceled my account, and don't see anything in the expansion that appeals to me. I just see new dungeons to grind for gear that will be outdated in 6 months, or a year if Blizzard comes through on their promise to do an expansion a year.
Nope... Although priest talents were kinda of exciting. The other's are so completely ridiculous. Shamans get dual wield now! I'm not even going into the mage talents cause even though I liked what they did to arcane... Its just... No...

To answer the OP, yes I'm going to get the Burning Crusade expansion. I've read enough to interest me, and like Razorback, my guild is going to get the expansion as well.
I'm toying around with the idea of getting the Collector's Edition. Should I? (see poll below)

I think the expansion is crap they are adding things for a paid expansion that most companys patch through other than the new classes and lands. Where is the player housing? where is the meaningful pvp?
i kinda don't really want it to come out i think it gonna be a pain in the butt to dl and then i lag even more than i normally do now which will piss me off alot
But today I just read the spells & talents for the level 70 and I must say I'm VERY tempted to come back. Yes the game is about raid raid raid or grind grind grind. But I had such a great time even though I'm not a hardcore player.
The spells & talents alone make it almost worthy of coming back. If only I have the time... why do I have to be an adult at this moment? I spent my childhood playing crappy games

Why do they excite you? Think about it, there is nothing new. All they are doing is preying upon people's desire to be uber. All they have done is try to make each class a bit more powerful but have actually added nothing new. The gameplay is same one-dimensional throw the kitchen sink and make everyone of the same class generic crap. They add a couple of novel things so that people salivate over a perceieved increase in power. Except that everyone got bumped up a litttle so hopefully it all evens out anyway.
Sure I'll come back, are you kidding me? Not only am I a gamer (which means that I must have a passing familirity with as much games as I can afford) but I'm also a junkie to figuring out game mechanics and exploration. Giving me a new level cap, new spells, new talents and a whole new continent is just screaming "Come back!" (if only for a month that is, till I see all I need and then bugger off before the after-lvl70 part begins all over again).
Actualy, that last statement might change. The PvP changes promissed sound good. I've been excited before only to find out that what was said was interpreted by me one way only to be implemented in another. So I say, I like what I'm hearing but I have to see it... But if PvP is as I imagine it to be, then I may actualy say frack raids and stick to PvP. Until AoC launches ofc... then I'll try that and see what happens...
P.S. Dont even get me started on seeing the faces of both Alliance and Horde when they are fighting against their previously unique classes That will have me in stiches for a good week ))))))))) That is the one thing about WoW that I actualy applaud wholeheartedly!!!!!
WoW... looks like no real new content, and more of the same grindfest with NE and Pallies for the Hord, and Taurens and Shammys for the Alliance. Thats not new content, thats the same content with a scrip update and a color change. No thanks...
