I think DnL will be a very,very fun game. I don't get why there is a beta contest, you can just subscribe to a beta at http://www.darkandlight.com/. But I guess it might be becase they don't pick everyone. Does anybody know how much the game or subsciption will cost when it comes out?
wish i was in beta.... i've paid so many boring games..... SWG is getting boring, FF is boring..... after you lvl enough times.... the game starts to get boring for me.... Man wish there was a game like Theif : Deadly Shadows... That game was and still sweet..... Imagine a game with assasins trying to kill each other in a hide and go seek game.... wow.... That be interesting to play. Always something different.
I guess you're experiencing the same problems we have getting our staff beta accounts. I'm wondering what's going on over there in the offices of Alchemic Dream or whoever is responsible for this

I don't know but some people are waiting almost a month now (mmhell winners), with no response from devs so far...
They're very slow with responding to email inquiries. If they want to get a certain build done before they let more press people in, then so be it. They might aswell tell us though since it's more frustrating having to wait for a long time without any update. Since this thread is from last year, I guess this is not the first time such delays are happening.

Winners from other sites got their mails some time ago, devs forgot about mmhell winners. No one is replaying us, not even AD team... oh wait one guy said "Noted" few days ago, when i ask someone from AD on IRC, they quit right away! wth is this? Week ago Doug Mealy (PR guy) replied for my mail saying that he is working for the whole weekend (i mailed him on saturday), that he already has the winners list, will check it and help me right away. That was one week ago.

DnL has alot going for it some of which are
alot of cues taken from the original UO
large map with huge content
graphics are not up to the latest features from what I have seen of it but the
movie trailer was very nice
the game play from what I have read sounds stunningly well done
and the way they are marketing it is astoundingly good
having it sold as a DL only should make it cost effective for both company and player alike
games that make the players shell out 49.00$ for a cd with no game on it is hyway robbery

Aug! Getting into the beta of this game is like winning the damn lottery. But harder!
