2D Online Action Space game

Ok, I used to play an awesome space game that was online, back in 1999-2001 (I think) might be a little earlier than that. I dont remember the name of the game or if its even still around, and I was hoping somebody here would be able to help me locate it if it was.

Basically there were 3 factions in the game that you could choose from:

Green

Red

and I think Blue(?)

I dont know I was always Green. You would log into a game and you would fly around space with your friends trying to destroy the other faction's bases, and ships. It was a lot of fun. Each kill would get you a small amount of money which you could use to buy new weapons for your ship or eventually if you saved enough by a bigger better ship. Thats pretty much all I can remember about the game. It reminds me a lot of the Station game Cosmic Rift only you know...fun.

Hope somebody can help me. If not, no big deal, just want to be able to play the game again if its still up and running. Thanks.

    This reminds me exactly of Silient Death on the GameStorm network.  Though, there were 4 factions, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow.  Basically the whole point to the game was just mindless flying around and killing, but it was very very fun.

    Let me know if I have it right!

    I mean, fun in 2000, but probably way to dated right now. 

    I don't even play video games anymore, but just lurk for future MMOs that have some potential.
