MY TURN!!! for opinion.
ALRIGHT GUYS. ITS MY TURN!!!!!
I have been keeping up with Archlord BEFORE BETA. I was on the forums, i pre-ordered i read EVERYTHING about it. HERES MY OPINION
YES THIS GAME HAS BUGS. of COURSE this game has bugs, its only been out for 10 days or so. wait 3 months before you bizznitch about bugs, it takes time. so far codemasters has been great. THEY GOT RID OF PLAYPLUS! i personally did not see that coming.
THE GRIND. The grind IS NOT SO BAD. if u keep an up-to-date wep. with at least one stone in it you'll be fine. I personally did NOT quest. i did the frist 10 levels after that i grinding purley straight up to lv 23 where i took a break, did a few quests, did some PvP. sure, the grind sucks but, this is a game where 3 levels can make a huge difference so of course its going to be abit tougher. i grinded from 1-60 in WoW(mage) hardcore. and it sucked, i got tired, bored and irritated, i have not felt this here yet. i dont know why but the grind is actually fun. i think its because its not cartoony and thats what i was loking for...
THE MOBS. i dont think u guys realize that the mobs are COOL. do you realize that you have a huge variety of mobs to kill!? if you dont like killing lv 14 trees? go kill lv 14 Deer, or lizardmen, or whatever!!! huge variety, huge variety for every level!!!
CLASS CUSTOMIZATION. YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CLASS, no two people are going to be alike, i love that! one of the things in WoW i hated. i personally raised my passive skills more where somone may get more abilties, or a mixture of both, and then where i raised sertain passives he or she may have raised different ones! its great!
THE JUST PLANE BAD. yes, this game has HUGE downs. such as targetting, chat box, no UI customization. but that is stuff that can be fixed over time, think of all the changes that MMO's go through over time. all the patches all the stuff that makes the MMO life easier they get to give them time!!
THE GOOD. think about it!? give the game time to develope abit. give the game time to get the huge guild vendettas, the well known pure cut throught guilds and the very well known friendly guilds! THERE IS NO ARCHLORD YET. THERE ARE NO MASS GUILD WARS YET. THERE ARE NO GUILDS IN CHARGE OF CASTLES. this game is ganna need a good 5 months to really develope. i have faith they will refine some of the pesky issues such as targetting!!!!
I been playing MMO's sense i was 13. if u dont want to play it yet, dont, but at least watch the forums for new info. its a good game! i had horrible faith when my pre-order game in mail due to forum critizism. but, it was better than i thought WAYYYY and it will get better as it developes.

Almost everything in your post is either a lie or an incredible distortion of the facts. Please resort to usual commersials instead of spamming these boards with your many accounts hyping this game. It's pathetic, just like the game Archlord.
Guys just don't trust these manga lovers... wait for a free trial before you waste your money.

Seriously, Archlord is a big money cow and no MMORPG that is worked on.
I was beta tester from start on.
We reported every bug we found and never got any feedback.
There was no single patch too.
When the beta ended and all the fileplanet kids came they suddenly applied a patch.
This patch was only nerfing nearly all stuff that was fun in the game and did not fix anything.
After many complaints it happened the first time, that CM gave feedback in the beta forums.
And this was obvisously the pressure to loose all future customers.
They stated that the patch fixed server crashes etc but this was
untrue. We still crashed, all bugs that we reported over weeks still
were in.
The patch had just one purpose: to make the use of chantra shop items neccessairy.
Well, some time has passed and CM had the nervs or should i say
impertinence to release a completely bugged game for the price of
unbelievable 50$ or even Euros in Europe plus taking a fee of 15$ or
Euros monthly after their PlayPlus system was negated by all players.
For a completely bugged game - keep this in mind.
They are cooperating with AD an amateur team, well known from DnL.
This people are mostly community members, not older than my sons and clueless in customer support or technical stuff.
This are the gm ingame.
If you have any problem, and you will have a lot because the game is
totally bugged, they will tell you that you must contact CM via email
and thats the gm ingame support.
Background:
Cm bought
the rights to publish Archlord in the western world from NhN, a korean
game company without any experience in MMORPG. The only successful
thing NHN ever made was a Mario Cart online clone.
A racing game is much easier to realize than an MMORPG, this you might agree.
Archlord was the biggest flop ever in the eastern world.
CM has atm a 3 people team for Archlord.
This people do nothing else than a poor try to communicate with NHN and
telling the community that they are not responsible for the problems (
because NHN is making all the mistakes) .
Even their website isnt up to date, the forums are the most chaotic i saw since DnL.
The game :
There are 3 races to play:
- Moonelves choose between mage or ranged, you are forced to play a female char
- Humans choose between mage (female), melee (male), ranged (male)
- Orcs choose between mage (male), melee (male), ranged (female)
Character customisation isnt great even that the game is just 2 years old.
So you meet many clones of yourself.
You login after creating and get a warm welcome with the glider bug.
You and everyone else ingame glide and have no animation.
Well this bug you can correct yourself in relogging.
The general gameplay you get offered is to hack and slash.
Quests are hack and slash or run to point x and return.
No epic quests like in MMORPGs with lore.
Harvesting is 3 different ways to butcher corpses of killed mobs ( called ransacking, carving, scinning).
Crafting is Alchemy ( making potions from harvested stuff) or Cooking (
making food from harvested stuff and super expensive
ingrdients from the cook npc).
XP is gained hardly.
Watching the fact that max level is 100 and Archlord is ment to be a
competetive pvp game, you see from very early on (low 20) that you have
to hack and slash until you feel assleep.
It is a grind treadmill and a money eating in addition.
The movement is bugged as well ( did you expect anything else?)
Point and click works the best atm but the non existant pathing makes you beeing stuck quite often.
WSAD is completely bugged and you start to kite if you use it.
The camera ingame does not follow the moves of your toon.
So prepare to perma adjust the camera if you play.
The graphics are nothing special and old fashioned.
The game only supports a refresh rate of 60 Hertz.
You need to configure your direct X by yourself if you don't want to risk epilepsy.
PvP is free outter towns but you get punished with rogue points if you attack more than 3 level lower ppl.
A skull appears over your head for 20 minutes if you started any pk
action even if you did fight a higher lvl. Having this skull means that
everybody can attack you without penalties, even higher lvls.
If you collected some rogue points a perma skull appears over your
head. There are different colors depending on how many rogue points you
have.
Town guards will attack you.
Last stage skull prevents ability to group and to earn full XP from hunting.
There a battlegrounds you can enter to have free pvp without punishment.
Unfortunately this battlekeep is containing aggressive mobs that are
very strong and this is not really an environment to have pk battles.
Guilds can declare war against each other and have a timed battle.
Dying causes villain points and negatives ( since most guild stuff is
bugged as well, its not clear what negatives) to the guild.

If you think you like to sponsor CM and expect nothing in return then you should buy Archlord.
If you are masochiste and love to play absolutely bugged and meaningless so called MMORPG then you should play Archlord.
This game is RF online 2. Horrible content,horrible gameplay,half-decent graphics and ZERO depth.
People that like this game need their heads checked,and look at some games made this century.
Whoa jump to more conclusions why dont ya,I've played EQ,EQ2,DAoC,AC,AC2,SB,SWG and Eve online and countless beta's,most recently i come from Eve,but i currently dont play any MMORPG because there are none i feel are worth playing,although some have indeed been worth every penny. I am however looking forward to AoC,Pirates of the burning seas and Warhammer Online.
How bout you,how long have you worked for CM,and how much they pay you to troll people on here? I mean,if you can jump to retarded conclusions i dont see why i couldn't have some fun too? Or would you like to cut to the chase and be serious?
