Is this how sad my life has become?

Just been sitting here all day looking for a good game to play, not just talking bout mmorpgs but any game. I've played all the old games to death and just become bored of the industry. There hasn't been any good game out since 2004 : It's been 2 years of NOTHING!

I look at all the mmorpgs on this sites list and it's a shame there isn't one good one, i've accepted old swg isn't coming back and i'm going to have to wait to see what the future mmorpgs will do. Just soooo annoying that all these upcoming mmorpgs cant come out now, probally end up as crap as the current ones anyways.

 

Tbh i see every mmorpg out there as first generation, none of them have evolved from the old format.

    Have you gotten desperate enough to play "The Sims 2" yet? Pull out that old copy of Dungeonkeeper/Dungeonkeeper 2, before you get that desperate.

    Your not alone Scara, I have actually started going for long walks outdoors due to the lack of anything else to do.
    I just pray that something comes along before I lose my belly and start eating properly imageimage

    Cause there is nothing, apsolutely nothing (mmo) worth playing.

    And i must play because i am frigin addicted to mmos!!!!

    You could always check out Guild Wars for your MMO fix. The original box price has been reduced, and there's no monthly subscription.

    If things are really that desperate, perhaps it's time for a new hobby.

    Its always hard to compete with that first MMO experience. Everything after that is just another grind. I havent seen a new mmo come out that is innovative.

    If you read one or more books per month all the problems in gaming will fade away, usually at rate closely linked to the number of books. ::::02::

    I agree with you on most of your points. Games suck more and more because big game publishers spent less and less on development. They reuse standard models that have proven to be successful money magnets when marketed to the mindless masses; they are content to collect the profits while laughing all the way to the bank, at the old schoolers who complain about this situation. Until there's an economic reason to change, however, this model may last for millenia. And, that's where books can help. lol
