please help someone, i got the email saying i can download the client, i've been to both links, there is nowhere to download the client and it says i have to log in....but there is nowhere to log on... please help

    Copy and paste the whole code into your browser cause part of the coding gets cut off when it turns into a link.

    A lot of people got theirs through the post, but theres still a lot who never recieved it so its going to be hell, I cant even connect atm so I'm probably going to have to wait like 2 days to get connected. image

    I hope its not going to be slow slow slow...

    Because I think what might happen is that 500 people will be selected, and if they dont register and validate their account within a certain time, some other person gets the account...

    Thats dissapointing if its true, and I am downloading a MASSIVE download on a 56k connection... But eh, I am one of the luckier with DSL...

    Those 500 people wont be able to login tonight I bet. It is going to take time to set up the accounts and get them validated. So I highly doubt the winners from tonight will be playing within the next few days.

    probably true about the 500 people.   Once everyting is in order, the server is going to go crazy image until most of the downloads have been done...

    Ya I was accepted into the beta a month ago and as of yet havent seen any of the game cus I havent gotten my cd, and now that they put up the dl link today I cant access it.... wish they would get there act together.

    they did the right thing. there was a poll about a month ago where they asked everybody how you want to get beta CD. I think most of the people selected - Download option as I did.

    So then how do you mean they did the right thing? They tried sending cd's first and only after a month of waiting and people complaining did they finnally decide to throw the beta on a pos ftp server, when they could have used bittorrent and transfered the file to everyone alot faster and have used a lot less bandwith.

    I think in the gaming sector there is no RIGHT thing, you cant please us all at the same time. We just gotta live with it.

    Us not getting our CD's wasn't Nevrax, it was the postal service.  Some people got their beta 2.4 CDs.  Others didn't.  That was completely out of Nevrax's hands.  And I can say this DL thing will work, cuz I'm doing it now...waited in line for maybe a minute, if that.

    YAY I got into the beta!!! ... well not quite yet? Do any of you know when I can create my account or is it already created? What do I do now? They said they would need to send me something. Maybe the CD'S? DO I need to wait to get the CD's or can I download it... and where Can I make an account?

    As one of the lucky 500 I will be joining beta shortly after I receive the CD. No downloads for the contest winners apparently.

    This is how it works.  You're in the beta according to MMORPG.com.  Nevrax hasn't accepted you in.  They'll put you on a waiting list, but you probably won't get in to this wave (2.4) of beta, it'll  most likely be the next.  They'll contact you soon, but remember that this isn't an open beta...they'll put the contest winners in when they feel like it.

    The person who started this thread *is* in beta 2.4.  Anyone who replied and isn't in the beta already is probably a little confused at what's going on, and it's sort of a long story, but you'll find out soon enough when you gain access to the main SoR boards.

    you can't.  You're not part of the closed beta.  It's only an option for beta testers who never received their CD in the mail due to postal error.

    I wait 3 weeks for the CDs, they don't arrive, now I gotta wait and try to download it...They need mirrors :)
