SO why don't they just bring back old SW.

Almost every patch they add something formt he old System, so why don't they addmit NGE blows ass, and bring back the old system. Anything is better than this garbag

    Probably because they lack the technical skill to adequately maintain the prior code.  TH, I believe, has made comments suggesting this.  Might have been Helios.  They also lack the $$ to justify the size of the development staff they'd need.  The sun ain't settin' yet, but it's gettin' mighty low on the horizon.

    Smedley once said that they did not know how to fix the old code. Basically admitting that the developers were too incompentent to do it.

    SWG is THE case study in gross mismanagement.  Bringing back the old as classic servers is the obvious sole option they have.

    They won't do it though.

       In a nutshell , SOE can not afford to run a decent MMO.

    If you ran a buisness, and had to answer to people higher up for your decisions.. Would you be willing to say everything you "sold" them was a complete disaster, cost millions of dollars, and thousands of subscribers?

    They arent willing to to that either... They will go down with the ship before they admit it was all a mistake..

    Having access to a billion $ IP - Billions of dollars..
    Having access to a massive fan base of said IP - Even more Billons...
    Singly handedly alienating them due to stupidity - Priceless.
