Hi all,

Was just curious if there has been any news of late about the current SWG game and it's status and on the possibility that a new SWG mmorpg might becoming out. If so, whats the word on all this?

The current version of SWG still sucks. Devs still keep pissing of peeps and they are bleeding subs. No news yet on SWG2 if there ever be one.

Wake was held in november last year. The tombstone is now mostly covered in moss, and the grave is covered in grass, since nobody seems to visit it anymore.

They keep trying to add back in features from before the dark times, but they are doing piecemeal and on top of a system whos principles are flawed. End result is a continual loss of subs and hope. I have heard of no news on an SWG2, other than speculation.....

Check your mail and join the 21 day trial why dont you. Theres really no need for a new swg mmorpg, this one will suffice for years to come. The playerbases on most servers are almost up to pre-nge numbers again and were not far from chapter 4, which will introduce a ton of high end content and the last 3 combat expertise trees. The gcw is more active and fun then it ever has been and there is actually some purpose in participating nowadays. To sum it up, the game is fantastic and better then it ever was, join us!

The latest:

They are offering a vet trial due to low sub numbers. They are also giving away the core game and every expansion except TOOW if you do the trial then actually pay for a subscription due to low sub numbers.

They still stubbornly refuse to offer classic servers which would actually help with the low sub numbers.

That's good advice log in... if the 21 day thing works for you... and you can see for yourself then come tell us.. if the game is up to pre-nge numbers on your server.

This is what Theed on Starsider looks like at 7pm on a saturday night... or any night .. or any time of day/night

Those 3 or 4 players total.. is most definitely pre-nge population levels... even during CU there was 25 to 50 people there 24/7. Pre-CU was 100... on starsider.

Now if you go into Mos-Eisley cantina... it almost looks pre-cu if you never step outside.

I don't mind if someone likes nge... they have as much right to that as people that liked pre-cu. But to come here and spew crap like the servers are almost as crowded as they used to be... is wrong from any point of view. Having an opinion... that is on the state of the game.. is your personal thing. Coming here to outright lie to people on the state of games population.. is kinda mind boggling.

Or at least say... On the server I play on (insert server name here) there is population. Don't come here trying to tell people all servers are back to be crowded.. that's outright bull$%^&.

I was just waiting for a current player to tell you that Theed isn't really in the game anymore, so nobody could ever be found there.

Yea, I almost fell out of my chair when I read that. I've been back and I've also seen many screenshots of people who have been back...it's nothing like it used to be...

lol Poor Theed...looks like it's time for another 500 NPCs per city...maybe with some "player-ish" names!

Is theed really gone? I haven't played since before the nge and neither have any of my gamer friends, but I've gotten mixed reports. I had heard it was gone, but then someone told me it wasn't.
