You cant reason with people on these forums, they are more about bangin on a drum and jumping on the bandwagon than to see differing views.
your first mistake is assuming the game is going to be just like
WoW. First of all, Warhammer has been around for 20+ years, the
visual similarities have more to do with blizzard copying warhammer,
not the other way around.
As for the PvP, it won't be just like WoW's is. The company
making Warhammer also made DAOC, which had an excellent PvP system
which included everything from small scale skirmishes to large scale
battles taking keeps with siege equipment. All of the RvR was
also for a purpose as opposed to just random killing.
Gear probably will matter, but not to the degree it does in WoW.
As for looting, no, you probably won't be able to steal armor or
weapons from a person you kill, if anything you will most likely be
able to loot some coin and less important items. There is nothing
wrong with that at all, and most people prefer not to have their armor
and weapons being looted.
Yeah we may not be "hardcore" if we prefer not to have items we've
spent a lot of time getting being taken away randomly from a PvP death
(which with a large scale pvp system, will be very common), but we are
in the majority.
If you really want to see what sort of ideas will be incorporated into
the game, look at DAOC, keeping in mind how old it is of course...aside
from graphically, Warhammer will probably not be very similar to WoW at
all.

OK, I've really been quiet about this for some time. Cause definitely you guys don't think the exact same way. Oh wait yes you do. So shut up. Its going to suck no matter what cause you want it too. Its really that simple. You're going to doubt and doubt and think everyone that is looking forward to the game is wrong and that's the end of it. Guess what yours is only an opinion as well. So have a nice day on the Internet and deal with the fact that people are going to like things you aren't.
And this also goes with the people that think a little criticism is bad. As long as it is done in a nice dissuasive forum there is no reason for flames. Just explain things in a nice even place.
Either way the game will be there even if you are not. The world doesn't revolve around you even though you are on the Internet and think your opinion is better then anyone else's cause you THINK you are smarter then anyone else. But alas in the real world it doesn't work that way. And guess what if you think its a waste of time/money people will still buy it even if you continuously bitch about it. But then you'll probably not even say games you have an affinity for just so you don't get ridiculed. Isn't being anonymous fun?
Sorry to everyone that herd me rant. I do apologies and it really isn't me to do so, but when people get on their high horse it just irks me from time to time.

No game is perfect and netiher should the statements about the game but if you cant deal with it then too bad cuz you are dealing with people who pay to play and will give opinions no matter how you want it served to you.

If people who pay to play want to give an opinion about the game they are playing then who the hell are you to prevent them from giving it? feedback isnt all just tickling someone's ear although that may be what you want?

deal with the fact that people can give any form of feedback they deem necessary and you cant do anything about it. If you are bothered by negative feedback then skip it, you are able to do that arent you?

So Im trying to figure out whos side your on because I am only criticizing the GAME with my opinions.
Personally I realize its just a game but people continue to take things PERSONAL when im making comments about a GAME. Thats right folks, its a game. I have a PERSONAL opinion about the GAME. I am NOT saying anyone else will feel the same way or enjoy the game any less. I am saying the I PERSONALLY would enjoy the game more without any type of instanced pvp that takes away from the overall world pvp goal. Thats it. Its very simple guys. I am not saying the game is horrible. I am not saying the game will be less enjoyable to you. I am saying I PERSONALLY will feel more dissapointed by this choice.

What is clear is that you still have yet to show that you are in fact dealing with it better and if you were then you would have conceded to the idea of letting people expressing their own thoughts without your pigeon-hole critique of how someone should 'properly' respond negatively. You dont even need to respond at all or respond in the exact opposite by giving an 'ear tickling', jump on the bandwagon, singing koombaya kind of perspective. True, Im not paying to play this game but I have played alot of mmo's and even back when rpg's were run with dos- shattered lands d&d. This doesnt mean that I who has taken the time to register to give opinions on this forum should not be able to do so no matter how improper they might be to you. Seems to me though, you are the one is being presumptuous while holding my posts clearly by your standard of critique.
