in Final Fantasy XI

I used to play FFXI in the year 2004. (long time ago eh?). But I was forced to stop due to family issues.

Bored with most games, I have somehow stumbled across FFXI again...
I was wondering a few things.

What has changed since 2004?

is the game just as social as it used to be?

and, can I install the game with my origional cppy and make a new account? or do I have to buy the game again?

    U can install it and if u remember your playonline id u rather should have no problems with coming back to game.
    From changed things - many new zones (added with cop and toau addons); many new mobs, encounters, equipment. Many changes in classes (thus with revamps and with merit system). So yea, things have changed :>

    The only thing you pay for is the Content ID, nothing more. When you quit, If the only thing you cancled was your ID. Then you should still have your PoL ID and can resume play.(If you remember your Account ID & Password). If you cancled your Free PoL Account, then you must buy another copy of FFXI>

    Mannequin - I'm in a similar situation, but I'm going to be back next month.

    I know that there are loads of new items; also, fishing has supposedly changed. Er... chocobo breeding?

    well yea you can play it again, and it is some what social but you will be starting off fresh again

    If you called customer service They may be able to help you with your account questions, But you'll need to verify with your registration codes & the pervious billing information.

    Theres not a 100% chance it'll work though (maybe a 30%...), SE customer service kinda sucks...

    Ahhh, well If I cant find my account details, that would be a god send, if not i'll have to buy it all again, I'll see what happens.

    they only want 6 things:
    your name
    your date of birth
    the last 4 digts of you credit card
    your address (home not email)
    _cant remember_
    _cant remember_
