If they brought back cu or pre-cu servers but you had to start all over again, would you go back to swg?
just a thought, doing a clean sweep of the the clutter (houses, cities and such) left by all old players would make it easier to set the stage ,so to speak, for a return to the old system (and a better game in my opinion). I would just like to hear some opinions.

I'd prefer a CU server only because I hated melee stackers and combat medics, but I would start from scratch with nothing on either CU or Pre-CU.
Bounty Hunting would take some time, but I would be patient.
Frankly, after the way they screwed their customers over, they should give anybody who was subscribed for longer than 90 days prior to NGE a free 90-day subscription and a free character transfer from their old server to the Classic as a way of apologizing, but being the SWG team, they'll probably open Classic and announce a $50 transfer service to get your old character with almost no useful items transferred to Classic, just to steal a few dimes before you figure out it's the crappiest server they ever ran.
I'd resub in a second, pre-CU or CU

$OE would still be running the show.
They can't be trusted. They have ruined thousands of people's in game accomplishments twice already. You think they won't do it a third time if they want to?
They laugh at players to their faces on the suckboards. The red names have proven over and over they are clueless about what their players want. ("You sat in camps.....and you had fun?")
They act like they are much smarter than there players, yet all the while refusing to acknowledge that they ruined the "unruinable" game.
I refuse to financially support clueless, arrogant, and idiotic people in any way, shape, or fashion.
And yes, I would call in sick that day just to get started on the right foot.
Pre-CU? Hell yes.
Only thing I'd start over for, is the Pre-CU. Altho I know that they CAN if they wish, convert the NGE database to Pre-CU, just like they converted Pre-CU database to CU, and Cu to NGE.

For Pre-cu, absolutley and without hesitation.

It would probably be the only way they could bring back the pre-CU or even CU. I doubt they could revert the existing database at this point, nor would I want them to, as it would be too messy. Now that said, what would I require to come back?
1. A clean, pre-CU server
2. Some sort of iron-clad promise that they will NEVER undo the original live game system again, no matter how long, or short, this version lasts.
3. Someone OTHER than SOE/LA involved at the development level (for instance, imagine if they hired Cryptic -- NOT saying them! just an example -- to be their development team)... i.e. SOE becomes the publisher, but no longer manages the game or makes any development decisions.
4. A huge chunk of my old guild (those still playing) would have to move over to the new server.
Odds of even one of those 4 happening let alone all 4? Zero for 2-4... maybe (but unlikely) for #1. But that is what it would take.

Yup.
That is why I said there has to be someone else (like a Cryptic, a Bioware, an Obsidian) in on the development at a minimum or I'm not touching it. Not that SOE couldn't still mess things up, but with another design team calling the design shots, it would be harder for them to (for example, most foul-ups in COH are not the fault of NCSoft, but of Cryptic).
Fool me once, shame on SOE. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Maybe they'll hold a server kind of like the new EQ servers went. They'll let you play at pre-CU first and then revert back to CU then NGE as time goes on. Except instead of encouraging people to playto open new content, they'll just be encouraging more heartache among the players.
