After loooooong time where i'm played another MMOG i start be sick of it and decided to give chance to other one try few of them with free trials and i'm meet up SoR , start days was really confusing ..... there is some kind of toutorial on free island but still...good for me thers is great community and you always can meet someone who help you with anything , i start love this freedom in this game u can be whatever u want , i decided to give a chance to that game and i think i will not regret
I totally agree with you GRIMACHU, you cannot judge a MMORPG after playing it for 20 minutes, an arcade game on the other hand you can. MMORPG's are deep and indepth affairs, and if you think you are doing yourself or the game any justice after playing it for 20 minutes then you are just plain wrong.
No one is questioning that you have the right to an opinion Ambient, what is being questioned is the validity of your opinion seeming as you only played the game for twenty minutes. Let me make an example: MR X drives a vehicle for 20 minutes and says its crap because its an automatic and he likes the control of a manual, then MR Y who owns the vehicle fronts up with an indepth analysis on why the vehilce is good, who would you listen to? I would certanly be listening to the person with more experience. If both persons were to have a similar level of experience and had differing opinions, then I would decide what factors presented by both parties were relevant to what I was looking for and then make a decision based on that.
In short I am saying that you have A) Not played the game long enough to give an opinion of any worth Stated one factor as to why the game is "crap" without even exploring that facet of the game in any depth (combat and its mechanics).
This just makes you look foolish.
This is coming from someone who has not played Saga of Ryzom and is looking seriously at playing it.
Note I am not saying you have to like the game here I am stating that after playing any MMORPG for 20 minutes you cannot possibly have an accurate opinion of the game.
Why not play the game for a bit longer let's say 4-5 hours and then come back stating what parts of the game you did or did not like (I doubt this would happen however after reading previous comments).
Also statements such as I am a programmer have no merit of meaning. Does this make your opinion more valid because you have a university degree and can program? I think not sir. If you did university as you claim, then why can you cannot contruct a valid arguement sir, because you do not have enough information to base your opinion on that is why. It is like you have read half a paragraph to research an assignment and given an opinion based on that.
Sorry if this is long winded, but it gives me the irrates to see people trashing a game without merit.
