I think it would be very cool to have a grand theft auto based mmorpg.  What do you guys think?

    You can call me rude again, but if this is your idea for a MMORPG, why didn't you just include this with your other thread about asking other people's idea for a MMORPG? Someone already mentioned that maybe you should group your thoughts together and make one post instead of spamming numerous topics.

    image Sin City was a hoax. Just to mess with peeps about the new GTA game coming out, which is San Andreas. If there is a MMORPG planned for GTA it doesn't have a title.

    actually Sin City wasn't a hoax.  Rockstar was originally going to make the next GTA game based on Las Vegas but decided to go with LA instead.

    Go to www.ign.com or read a gaming magizine. SIN City, and that LA thing, and the whole San Andreas things are rumors. Seriously. Rockstar North has confirmed that they are working on a new project, but they said NOTHING else. THAT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED IN ALOT OF GAMING SITES.

    Amazon.de and Amazon.uk made a mistake of putting a Grand Theft Auto: Sin City for preorder... because Rockstar had not confirmed the title, nor the fact that it was a Grand Theft Auto game... Sigh

    And by the way, Multi Theft Auto is a game modification for the computer version of GTA Vice City, that allows Multiplayer gameplay :D

    no actually is was featured in a game magazine, can't remember if it was EGM or Gamepro.  I'm leaning more towards GP but it was a last july (I worked as a stocker in a grocery store and thats what I did on my breaks image).  Anyways I am pretty sure it was GP and no, it wasn't in their LamePro section.

    Well, unless you can prove that SIN CITY is the next Grand Theft Auto game, by showing me a link or whatever, I wont beleive it, because I KNOW I read the article about GTA project having no confrimed name, because it was in 2 magazines, one of which I actually have and can take a picture of for proof. PSM has a Rumors Thing in it, where they say if they think its true or not, and in it they had something about GTA4/Sincity/LasVegas/SanAndreas... They said its not true, because Rockstar has not registered any links or names yet...

    www.ign.com has my proof that by the way... lol

    He didnt say that the next game was called Sin city, he said that it was throwing around names and it was named that for awhile, but changed it afterwars. And GTA MMRPG, would be interesting, but would have to be more then GTA with 2000 players.

    For everyone still play GTA III, listen to the radio and is mentioned Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas...it was on one of the commercials. I'll pop the game in and tell ya when I hear it again.

    If it was an actual hoax then they did a pretty good job, because they had screens of it in "vegas".  It had the guy walking down the strip and had some very familiar, yet changed casino names.  Either way hoax or real I don't care.  I just want another game to come out so I can beat some hookers and old ladies with a bat. image

    Please tell me were you saw the Guy in a Las Vegas type city. I never said that there would not be casinos. The latest I heard it that there is a casino place in the game.

    I feel confident in saying that everyone picked up a hooker let the car bounce around and then beat her down to get the money back...as for the old ladies, come on easy targets...actually I wasn't biased...I liked running everyone over in the Rhino.  image

    nope Tommy V is not the main, he is however the big boss guy.  Big overpowering.  Apparently he got fat.  Anyways the goal of this game is to take Tommy V down.  (can read that in this months issue of gamepro)

    Well, come to think of it, those old ladies were wicked, they'd try to beat me to death with no reason with their purse, thats freakin assault dangit! I'm appalled they'd let an old lady assault you with her purse in a game! Just appalled!

    OK, on a more serious note. How many of you out there after several confrontations with the law (cop, military, and FBI) start to put the the lower wanted level cheat, then the armor cheat, and then your in the middle of the health cheat and....WHAMM!!!! Your road pizza. Some crazy driver just hits you and killed you with 100 armor still displaying on the screen? Anybody? Honestly, Andybody?

    I don't see why not, it's the only way to make the game any fun and even that gets boaring after a while.  GTA's only appeal is the katana, a shopping mall, and talk radio.  The end.  Personaly I found the combat system simplistic, the shooting aweful, and the missions to be repetitive.  If I was looking for that style of gameplay I would just load up DAOC, at least there I can play with ohter people.
