Australian Populated Servers

in Final Fantasy XI
Was thinking of getting FFXI.  But was wondering which servers have high population numbers from the Australia and New Zealand areas?

Any help greatly appreciated. image

    well all i can really say is that we know the players as western gamers or eastern gamers. there are high numbers of these on all the servers. if you want tons of western gamers then join Fenrir image

    There is no specific server for any region in the world. Servers are assigned randomly and the only way you could go to a specific server is if you know a person on that server and they buy you a world pass.

    A sticky really should be made that says servers are assigned randomly and there are JP, NA and EU players on every server. I know 1 person from Australia on Cerberus personally.

    While you are assigned randomly, you're assigned to random low population servers. So the servers with the lowest population will recive the most new people.

    Let me restate my question.

    Is anyone on a server that they know has a good number of Australian or New Zealand players?

    The reason for this question is thus. I have read that FFXI is highly reliant on teamwork and because of the time difference between Australia and Europe or between Australia and North America, it would be more than likely that at the times when I'm playing that there will not be high numbers of players from either of these two continents playing, therefore finding a group to play with would be more difficult, thus making the game harder or tiresome when looking to group.

    If I can find information on which servers have strong numbers from the Australia and Newzealand areas then I can look forward to having more people online and team with.  After I have this information I can then see if someone would be willing to obtain a world pass for me.

    I hope that clears it up.

    well most people play FFXI for hours at a time, i am in a linkshell with people that average 10 hours a day (overnight) and since I am from europe that means they are on your time. Everyone says that it is team based but it just means you get more xp fighting monsters in a party then solo. Join fenrir as there are quite a few of every country on (I met four australians yesturday) and of course there are tons of japenese that would be on at the same time, japenese players tend to be the best all you need to do is use the auto translate

    FFXI has been officially released on NA, EU, and JP. You will most likely be playing with people from EU or JP. Most if not all of your leveling will be done on the weekend, Where many people will stay up all night into the morning, So weekends is your best bet to find people who speak your prefered language.
