I was accepted to beta prior to the contest from SoR. The cd's are being shipped, but they are having problems with people recieving the beta cd's. Not to upset everyone, but I was told weeks and weeks ago they were being shipped yet no cd still. Yesterday I got an email saying they were aware of the problem and sent a link to dload the client. Even worse the link is in german and when translated it says the link is bad. This doesn't give us much hope, but thought I'd clue some of you new acceptances in.

Will the game really be released on the date posted on the front page of MMORPG.com? It seems that if it is, the beta testers will probably only get in a good week or so of playing the game before it is actually released to the public... That just sounds pointless.
1. I think everyone is being a bit too impatient. The contest results weren't concluded until the early AM today so the manufactures didn't get the results until then...which would have been the evening over in France.
2. Who thinks the game is going to be released on the due date listed? I'll be shocked if it isn't delayed at least a couple of times because when 500 people log on i'm sure we're going to find plenty of bugs for them to fix.
I don't know how many of you have been keeping up with the beta status of World of Ryzom, but it seems from a recent screenie on their website they are doing load testing. Plan to have set times and set activities to do. If they are at that point they have most of the kinks out of the system, they just need to know if they can support 5000 people on a server cluster all shooting, swinging swords, and casting spells. Beta's for the most part aren't ment to be fun. It's for us to get on and do a service for us and fellow gamers to make sure the product comes out with as few a flaws as possible. No one wants to enter a game that just sucks because of the ammount of bugs that have been left unresolved *cough*SWG*cough*.
By the way, Themis Group is handling the client stuff for this one, so be it downloadable or sent to us, I highly doubt it's coming from Nevax in France. May take a bit for any sort of confirmation to get to us, as they will want to make sure it gets directly to us.
And either way, I'll be gald to see ya all in there, let's exploit the heck out of everything we can so it will be fixed when this thing hits the shelves. Catch ya's on the flip side.
I won but did not claim fast enough. They should give more time on the claiming part. I play at night so a daytime drawing just kills my chances. oh well. Congratulations to those that claimed in time. OZ......

The game does look good from what I've seen and read about it. Too bad we have to wait but good things come to those who wait so you never know. ie: There gave its beta people a special deal on the game if they joined the live game.
Patience is good but.... when will we recieve any kind of information on the status of our beta accounts? Or has anyone else that won recieved any kind of information? I know that Nevrax Mails CD's but I have read on other forums that people that have been accepted to beta and those who actually play the beta, is about 2 to 1
I would be deeply upset if I didnt get into Beta after all of this, I mean I meet the Requirements, and I won a contest, so its only fair that they let us in...
But eh, I decided, I probably buy this game after it comes out if I dont make it into Beta, heh... I will probably regret that, but oh well, I want Ryzom that bad...
It really annoys me that everyone is so impatient about getting in. 500 people is no easy task for the Dev team to get going. Also, they might not even want all of us right now. Just relax and wait....eventually everyone will get in.
it really annoys me when people say i cant stand everyone wantng to know when they will recieve the prize they won even though there has been no email no post no nothing in 5 days since drawing. a simple post explaining whats going on would solve the whole problem for me. so put yur head back in the sand and let us be curious as to whats going on.
Ya know this is a discussion room so i think what we are doing is having a discussion but there is always someone who has to come on and be negative about what we are discussing about. But in a reality this is the general discussion therefore we can discuss what ever the f**K we want.!!
