Im just starting WoW and i was wondering what are some of the good classes that do a lot of damage and still live after 3 hits. I would appreciate all comments
Try em out. Maybe you dont want to be the best at attacking...... all classes are fun to play in PVP except warrior(i think). I prefer warlock, but everyone is different. good luck to ya......

Sounds like you want to be a Warlock or a Hunter. With pets if you are getting hit you are doing something wrong.

good point neuronomad, bout the pets. I just think warlocks are fun in general, they can do different stuff, summon (tp), their pets are pretty nice, DOT's and fear are fun in PVP and duels. One day I will find a warrior that cant be feared and have some fun (are u listening blizzard???) with those warlocks, but til thennnnn..............
My now retired main was a Orc Lock. I loved her to death. I could easily solo elites 3 or 4 levels above me. As long as you know what pet to have out for what situation Warlocks are great. I enjoyed Hunters too, but seems everyone and their dog has one.

What are plagehearts? I've played WoW for 23 months, and I must not understand your reference.
Warlocks are fun for people that like to look at their Succubus, or love to dot people and fear them while they slowly die. Warlocks are great for people that like PvP because of that. They also can have alot of health.
Through what I know, it would be best to play as a warrior for starters.
Warriors need not be experienced and you can definitely have fun. Your health can go as high as 6000. And you can deal damage (if your well-equipped and have a nice axe in your hand) over 1000 - 2000 damage, crits or not!
As tradition, most people would tell you, there IS no best class, that's the truth. Everything in World of Warcraft goes by in YOUR opinion, there's no such thing as the best, it's how you play, whether you understand the playing method and doing the right and wrong things.
I'll list you some examples so you have a wide range to choose from and think about what to do Killers - Without much training: Warlock , rogue , mage With training: Warrior , shaman , hunter
Healers - All healers basically just heal, you can choose to damage once in a while, but it's really not advisable: Priest , paladin , druid , shaman Bandages don't really count as healing damage.
PvE fun - If you want to have fun in PvP, these are good: Hunter , warrior , rogue , warlock , shaman , paladin , mage As for those i didn't mention, it's because it'll most likely take a longer time to kill something, so it gets boring.
Raiding - Warrior/Rogue - Melee class, these are the dudes that deal damage to the bosses in the raids Priest/Druid - Healing class, if you see these guys doing shadow/other damage in raids, whisper the word 'noob' to them and tell them to f*** off. Warlock/Mage/Hunter - Ranged class, these are the badasses that deal behind the scenes damage, they are the ones they do the dirty work and get no credit, although sometimes the rogues are the ones that kick asses Shaman - basically a versatile character. u can do a wide range of things, from healing, to tanking (not the best), to ranging, jack of all trades, ace of none.
Hope you had fun reading, hope you make the right choice, have fun gl.
