My 5 year old daughter rags on the NGE

My baby was 4 and ,LOVED SWG! Called it daddys game LOL.

She couldnt do alot, I made her a toolbar so she cold do a couple weak specials and call stuff, she loved to ride my dewback around and shot stuff Id leave her around unbuffed LOL, like krettles ect.

After the kill she got a kick out of examining the corpse and giving it the ewwww gross.

One time I came in and she wandered into a city and was trying to examine players (duel is in that spot on live players) was lucky she didnt get me wacked.

 

She wanted me to play rouge squadran on gamecube yesterday cause its to hard for her, (I think she needed a swg fix), after like 5 min I started feeling like I do when I play anygame anymore for some reason, like my life was being sucked out of me.

So I said to her, Baby I cant play this its reminds me of my Star wars game.

She replied," why does it have to suck now?, I used to love that game"

I couldnt beleive she would of even remembered it after a year, but to make her old man the proudest man alive by calling it what it is.

Excuse me I think theres something in my eye.

    At the launch of it, soon after due to the fact no loss mattered I finally let my 7 year old boy play my Jedi he had seen me play countless times being careful.

    My kids both are very avid computer gamers, users so it was no problem for him to play it as he does Battlefront, Jedi Outcast etc...

    Needless to say, he played it for about 15 mins and that was it, forever.    I then canceled, no joke, no bullshit.

    I lasted from launch of the NGE one month just watching the game get bastardized.. I played like 5 times, it was so horrid that I just could not log in.

    Seeing Lukes face was enough for me to know where the game was going,  if you need a face to figure out what you want to be, then it really is cut out for the kids today, not the old Star Wars fans.

    Looks like all the posts then and warning of the NGE were right lol.

    Man, if it was a success I would be eating my words I guess lol.

    I wouldnt trust SOE to flush my toliet. Only people stupid enough to let SOE raise their kids must be to busy playing the NGE.

    I find it Completely irresponsible(as most money driven, souless corporations are) to announce they are making their products for idiots so your kids can play.

    My kids only 5 but shes no Helious, and her father wont let her play games that reward stupidity to make a buck.

    Still people will wonder WTF is wrong with that kid in the spare room as they run off to loot and repeat. Society is to damn dumb to raise my kid not that id burden them with my responsiblity as so many do.

    Guess Im a dieing breed but the NGE represents the decay of society to me Im just glad so many people are standing up and yelling F-You I wont do what you tell me

    That's what they are good at, it's what made em the corps they are today. Perfect example: WoW: simple and easy, successful as candy. This is why games produced by megacorps are doomed to suck: they lack ingenuity, games are made to make money for them, rather than to "be" a good game and this results in these games to have no "real feeling" to em, such as the NGE, and why do you think SoE cares? They've got EQ2, Vanguard, PlanetSide and so on. I seriously don't believe they even think of listening to the banter of the crowd about a single one of their games.

    Unfortunatly, Star Wars is a very populair theme to make a MMO about, so there will always be a die-hard base of players. For SoE: The ideal testing grounds, and that is what SWG is. SoE's labrat. Is there any point in wasting money on a labrat? No. Is it worth paying attention to? image
