Was Yoda in game?

My apologies cuz I only played CU and was in like 4th stage of village when NGE hit.I just watched an old SWG commercial and they said Yoda was one you could meet.I was an Imperial so obviously I didn't have a chance if he was but thought I'd ask cuz I swore I asked and everyone said no.I knew he showed up on buffs for jedi for light side but that was it.Plus WTF don't LA have a forum?Is it so they can deny that people want classic servers?Like I said I only played CU but Pre-cu seems just as good if not more realistic in aspects.Been a forum sleeper for a bit,don't crucify me too bad:)

Some of the FEW original high-level Jedi were able to travel to a VERY small instance and meet Yoda. If you view LOOOOONG time Jedi, you may see a badge that says "Has Traveled to the swamps of Dagobah & met Master Yoda", or something like that. My understanding is that it was removed Pub 9. I've personally seen the badge, and it's DEFINATLY a badge, not faked. Unfortunatly most Jedi that old quit at the launch of the NGE. There were some screenies on Imagedump that people argued about being real, but they were. The only thing that ever escaped me was why there are no Screenshots on Dag or Yoda... oh, and yoda & some things from Dagobah can still be found in the TRE files.

I can confirm blaack widdow, what a chump was at deathwatch in first room with crate had it open and battle droid was non aggrod just standing there behind me, she comes in throwing multi attacks and aggros it then accuses me of spawning it on her(she was trying to steal kill anyway) .

After losing it comes back and hassles me, kept messing with me (thi was shortly after my mom passed and I was still messed up).

So I stupidly duel knowing all my shots will be blocked, so after she deathblows me I notice stupid ass me left my av-21 out and she was blowing it up as I was cloning, (The SWG gods had my back after I cloned I stored and recalled and it was ok)

After that I formed a TEAM yep a team of peeps who hated her(some in fact went BH just on her behalf), funny all were same IMP faction too. Last I saw her.. we attacked her as she was fighting a giant krayt(just after spawn was increased) and she house logged and I never showed her logged agian.

NOW ON THAT NOTE

Any NGE stories like this ......ummmm no I think not.

I don't think this "meet Yoda" thing is true, I knew many of the oldest Jedi on my server and none of them ever mentioned it to me. THAT is certainly something they'd have bragged about to a noob Padawan who just unlocked

Yeah, its true. There was a similliar instance for the first BH, it took place in the deathstar and the game turned into a FPS hybrid with crysis graphics and you could destroy planets which is probably why dagobah isnt there anymore and get the badge "destroyer of worlds", and you got to see what boba looks like behind the mask and a george lucas hologram gave you a guided tour around the deathstar and then invited you over to his mansion in LA for tea.

Alot of stuff is in the tre files not ingame that is not evidence.

After you defeat the Meatlump King, you then get a waypoint to Yoda's Lair.

Well, it may not be, but I can tell you from seeing it with my own eyes that there was a "Has been to the swamp moon of Daggobah" badge, or something like that. Blaack Widdow was an @$$ occasionally (as many can be) and may have been feeding me a line of bull about metting Yoda, but the badge I saw for myself, that's what started the conversation. And I wasn't the only one to see it, I pointed it out to a Guildie when I saw it. Blaack was I believe the only Jedi on our server (at least that I knew of) to get to the top of the Pre-9 Tree. If anyone out there knows someone who had finished the tree, ask them. There have to be a few out there still.

Beyond that, believe me or not, I stand by seeing the badge. If you want me to grab my guildie I can, he posts here once in a while.

There used to be a rumor that went around the forums about Yoda's walking stick, but I'm pretty sure it's similar to the Meatlump King, or Luke's hand.

Oh man, you just brought back some GREAT pre-cu memories. Some of the most fun I had was gaming with Blacck Widdow. Oh those were fun times...

It was always funny to see a group of 2 or 3 BH's and sidekicks appear to claim their prize when we were screwing around killing stuff. Me being rebel and him a DK always led to confusion when I would start wacking on fools moments after the TEF.

I just now realized how much better pre-cu was. I would probally play the core original game if t were housed somewhere other then by SOE. The social interaction and diversity was well rounded by the challeng and risk vs. reward of the gaming environment.

the worst thing that happend to SWG was the Anti-Decay Kit. The NGE is essential the ADK'd version...it's crap.

I knew quite a few of the old Jedi, mainly from hunting them. The ones I gave a good fight to, beat or other (one saved me from an ABR so I dropped the bounty) usually would want to chat with you if you & they weren't jerks. I knew many of them in passing, and few longer. Starting Pub9 they started to eBay their toons or quit. Before long, when you did chat you would realize thet were J-eBay and you just happened to still be on their friends list.

The worst moment I had Post9 was when I sent an Old Jedi Guardian a tell after I killed him telling him how happy I was to get him at last (we had a hunter/hunted relationship that lasted about 6 months, he was darn good), and he sent me back some 1337 speak hate-tell saying I was a noob. I knew the guy and he had talked about selling, then I found out he had about week earlier. Sad days...

It could have been a CSR badge that they were able to give at one time. Back in the day the day the Devs and CSR's made a big deal of the early Jedi.

I'll give you that. I have the "Old Soldier" or what ever it was badge myself (something with a B I think). I, and my guild at the time, got it for helping to organize the first major Battle of Anchorhead on our server. Oh the AT-AT's and base explosion... good times... I thought it was normal until enough people asked me where to get it & I couldn't tell them, lol. A Friend told me they stopped handing those out a LOOONG time ago... a shame really, it was a good idea... it rewarded those in the community that tried to help the gameplay for all.

Like I said, it wasn't in the Bio part, it was in the Badges, and after seeing it I did do a double-take. Being a Jedi Hunter, I read every Jedi Bio I could. Most would brag about their skills, which tells you a ton about how to fight them. My favorite were the ones that said things like "1200 Rancors down, 3600 to go". That basicly told you what level they were, and where they hunted, and how low their health would get... good times indeed...

Yoda existed, and the badge existed. They were buried in the TRE files and never actually used.

But the ducks got him out for a movie.. looked like crap though.

Someone told me that the event devs could pop him in if they wanted, but that got vetoed by LA. Maybe they actually pulled him out for the first few Jedi... gave the badge out by hand.
