however...they are NOT the best country in the world, that would be the U.S.

Japan rules
Japan is the best country in the world because it is the only free capitalist society in the world. We are "modified" capitalistic. I say that's an excuse for socialism, and we don't even have that because our country barely provides any benifits to it's citezens (compared to true socialistic economies like Canada). The only bad thing about Japan is that the Yakuza is pretty much in charge. I say if a criminal organization can maintain a free capitalist society, more power to you, (not literally, the mafia is bad. I mean there is no mafia
).
Anime too. Anime rules.
and videogames.
*Capitalism means businesses have little to no government interference. For the love of god, don't start seeing capitalism as greed or you will start believing more and more in communism. Remember, we are not really capitalistic. Liberatarian party! Not liberal.

For a moment lets forget those kids dancin' in the arcades, all the sushi, teenage girls and sailor suits (umm actually lets not forget them) and cool anime.

Although china is the country of the future. I love their laws, they dont take none of this give criminals right crap, they're really strict; they're drifting more and more towards capitalism.
That and all the western civilizations and western influenced are corrupt, decadent, and socialistic. Even the U.S. is heading more and more towards socialism. We get a democrat into power and i'm sure it'll go even faster towards it. And then the U.S. and Canada can become one big country and be the Socialistic democracy of north america.
Japan=Clean place. But, as somone else already stated, no guns, wth is that? Try to take away my firearms and it'll be a firefight!!

Always wished to visit Japan but Tokyo is one, if not, of the most expensive cities on the planet. Bit of a downer that. One day I'll go (visiting Thailand in April).
One of the reasons for wishing to visit is because I always used to imagine that Japan was looking 5 minutes into the future. Also, I don't think that I would ever truly understand Japan on a cultural level. It fascinates me but I've never had a desire to live there. Visit yes, live no.
** Yes, I realise there is more to Japan that Tokyo but I would like to visit the capital and spend some time there. That would be expensive.
Oh, must admit that I'm indifferent to anime.
Have any of you into Japan thought about learning Japanese?

I may still learn Japanese...and to anyone else interested don't, all you need to know is that you should ask for a 'cora' when you want a coke. Besides English is nearly universal anyway.

Want to know what kuri kuri is? (If you do then you're one sick ****er. Well it's not that bad).
My Japanese teacher teaches normal form first (combined with katakana-izing English words). 2nd year learns respectful form. 3rd year learns relaxed form and more practical phases. I know how to make small-talk (like a 5 year old boy), and turn English words into katakana. Japanese schools have english as a required language to graduate, so if you're really stuck then learn to speak proper english (no one in Japan knows what our current hip-hop slang is. We don't know any of their slang either because slang moves so fast. Tight Bling Aiight Skeet l33t Krunk.)

anyone see lost in translation? its supposed to be a really good representation of japanese culture. i kind of hope not, cuz id like to go there someday, and the people acted like fools. it was a good movie anyway, go see it.
