Farming

I was just wondering if any mmorpg out there has agriculture implemented. I havent played any that have anything even close to Farming. It seems to me that farming is a overlooked feature in most mmorpgs.

    star wars galaxies used to have farming .... of course in a futuristic sense .. youd set up greenhouse type structures which grew ingredients or herbs needed to make certain products ...

    runescape has farming, and construction. you can build your own huge mansion!

    yea but u dont actually own that farm land thou u just go to a public garden and plant some seeds(so i am told)

    Runequest P2P does, GoonZu (though I think it's just picking not real farming) and I'm pretty sure some of the Graal servers had farming though it's been a while since I played (I played classic) There's probably a number of other games, look for the ones with a lot of non-fighting skills.

    SW:G had harvesters, not farms. Certain types of random resources spawned for various times and you would set up harvesters to gather them. This in no way resembles farming of any kind.

    I recall SWG listing farming (farmer profession) as one if its feature before release, but never made it into the final list for release. Politican never made the cut but did come back after a long while.

    There's two I know of that have agriculture. A Tale in the Desert and Roma Victor. It's possible Horizons has it as well but I can't confirm on that one.

    wurmonline.  has farming, town building, house building, and a good community to boot.  tis is a complete sand box game.

    I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

    Roma Victor has farming.

    Full circle, from planting seeds and watering them to harvesting and processing the crops into useful products and additional seeds.  Seeds may be planted in any fertile ground.

    wow has major farming just reach 60 join guild and farm 1000x MC BWL AQ or someothers farm farm farm:P

    Thats similar like in UO. There you can do gardening. Plants are there for deco purpose maily because we have the house builder. Everyone can construct and build there own houses. You own that piece of land, well you need to buy it first *grins* You get seeds out of the plants and some plants have other resources that are usefull and can be sold as well.

     

    We are always on about wanting to do proper farming thought. Who knows, maybe the will incorperate it once day. An Animal farm would be cool as well. image as we alreadyhave the skill hearding.

    Fairyland has farming as a tradeskill.

    In FFXI, you can grow seeds into plants to decorate your garden.

    All MMOs have plenty of farming, just ask the Chinese...
