in SWG Veteran Refuge

So I get a PM that asked me what I thought in one sentence that would sum up what happend to SWG....

My reply for some odd reason was this:

 

Well it was like watching "This is Spinal Tap" and then someone switching it to "Ernest goes to camp"....

 

No clue why that came up as both are funny, but one just has substance.

    I honestly don't think there's a better way you could have said it. It sums it perfectly. Both were funny, but how many people really want to watch an Ernest movie? Worldwide, maybe a couple thousand kids total? Spinal Tap, on the otherhand, is f**kin' hilarious. Most of the people who've seen it love the movie, and the rest "just don't get it". And just like Galaxies, it cranks it up to 11. It goes beyond anything we could have expected.

    Good analogy, but I liked the Ernest movies when I was in HS.  But then Jim Varney was a fellow Eastern Kentuckian :)

    I saw someone make the same kind of point on the SOE forums shortly after the NGE was sprung.  The other post said something like, "If I bought a ticket to see Ozzy Osbourne, and in the middle of the show, they took Ozzy off stage, and replaced him with Englebert Humperdink, would I want my money back? You betcha."  OMG that made me laugh! :)

    It was funny, and cool to hear that someone understood what just happened to us.

    Whoa, Wait a second???   Yes he was, he also went to Bryan Station High School and his sister was my Dads co-worker for some time.   As alot of us KY folk know...

    As I am from Lexington and party'd many many a times at EKU.....   alas I went to U.K. though after the Army...

    But prior going to MMI --- lol if you know what that is.

    Small world.... lol

    Your from the freaking Hills... crap,  But now you at least know where I had to go to school lol.

    I was a bit silly back in the day.... I thought it was ok to get a A in science then a F in Art.. because I felt it was stupid, needless to say that ole saying your parents use like "You better start doing what you should or your going to Military School"  crap is real.      Boy was it real...lol

    No regrets though, best times of my life, there and the Army..

    My and Dad actually live in Jessamine Co.   Out by the horse farms.   (Mom is a horse pimp at the track and Dad is retired playing alot of golf) ---

    But yep -- Im a grad from U.K. and Hell raiser from them parts lol.    (One of my Good friends is still there doing well,  He owned Galls inc.. lol...   now Lexmark) -- He sucks..lol  33 and well, you guys know..lol  I have to work...

    Good fun thought in town, to bad we did not know this prior to SWG folding like a bad cardboard box.

    We werer all on Bloodfin from day 1. Yes, we actually got into the game on the first day, the wonder we all felt was amazing. Yes, govt work does seem to take something out of him lol.
