Wonder if this might have something to do with the rumor about Classic server in q1 of 07... and yeah I dont quite belive the post about those, but it is intresting they have the PR stuff openeed at this point in time.
Plus it would explain why the people over at SOE have gone loony about how they act towards the players.

SOE has an opening for a manager to take the role of Community Relations Manager for our EverQuest II title. This person will manage community relations for the EQII Community and will coordinate large-scale community initiatives. This may include weekly newsletters, monthly contests, community outreach programs, and live chats, as well as assisting in forum moderation and working with the EverQuest II development team to provide valid community feedback.
Responsibilities:
Interact with a development team, passing key community feedback to the team for consideration
Keeping the player community apprised of game developments and features
Partnering with Marketing and Public Relations to coordinate messaging plans and present the company and the product in a positive manner
Coordinate development of newsletters, articles, and other forms of regular communication to the customer base
Assist in development of community relations initiatives such as contests, working in tandem with the marketing department
Develop and provide regular reports on top community trends
Work with business partners to develop, improve, and approve marketing and community messaging.
Supervise a team of Community representatives
Job requirements:
Familiarity with message forums, IRC, blogs, and other forms of social software and group communications media on the Net
Excellent writing skills
Strong production and management skills
Extensive familiarity with massively multiplayer online gaming
Familiarity with CRM practices a plus
Prior supervisory experience preferred

The guy who held that position recently left it. It's the
position that Thunderheart holds for SWG, except it is for EQ2.
Actually, I want to appoligise to the guy who used to have the position
since he did his job in the exact opposite manner that Thunderheart
does his. He was helpful and competent on the EQ2 forums and he
never insulted the players. I sincerely appologise to him for in
any way comparing him to Thunderheart.

As much as that could be a hopeful sign, my experience of big business leads me to remember that "shit might roll downhill but shitty management always ends up floating to the top of the toilet".

This is reading a bit too far into things for my taste. Is there even any mention of SWG listed in conjunction with these online postings? Personnel changes happen all the time.
