Gears ogf War will retail for $100?!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! Man, I'm sorry. But whatever little fun the X360 provides (not enough for it to make me buy it), Microsoft is going to counter with stupidity. This is one of the reasons I have never owned an Xbox of any type. Microsoft needs to stick to PCs and software for PCs. They had to be begged to put 512mb versus 256mb? They had to be begged for a hard drive? PS3 has what? Blu-ray - untested, expensive but does have the ability to store huge amounts of data, but right now its similar to HD-DVD. No feedback on their controllers because it interferes with the tilt sensors (funny how nintendo and immersion can do it)..
With the Wii I'm getting the entire Nintendo back catalogue. With the possibilty of seeing the best of the Nes, Snes and N64 (and maybe the Mega Drive, Master Sytem and Saturn).
I agree.. PS3 is the most annoying idiotic overpriced piece of shit that i have ever come across. Blu ray doesnt offer anything new, its just DVD but bigger memory... the encoding of the data into it offers nothing new so its not gonna be a big plus points... I dont care about the blu ray... what i care about is the controller... what? no vibration??? wtf.... And the thing looks like my toaster... except bigger... heavier.. and uglier....

the next gen consoles are not so next gen, in fact, they are oudated already... well in the process of being one... cell processor has nothing to say to quad cores coming out later on... plys theres a new system where you can have two quad cores in one system.. thats right, it is equivalent to octa cores... ps3 and 360 has nothing to say about this shit... buying an HD TV alone costs bullcrap... the thing is, people are buying these consoles because they are supposedly next gen when it comes to graphics... the truth is, theyre not.... horrible. $600??? id be able to buy a new motherboard, processorm and graphics card...

Well, as someone has already pointed out, it's an Australian site, so the price is in line with all other 'Next Gen' games.
As for your other comments, they are also mad. You do realise no other console used to have a hard drive until the Xbox came along don't you? And they get all sorts of flack for doing it? Microsoft proved it was a good idea. As for the 512MB thing, you do realise the 360 has actually more memory in many ways than the PS3 - since the 512MB memory in the Xbox 360 can be used for many different things while the PS3 can only use 256MB for textures since there memory is separated into two 256 blocks? So in a way, for graphics, the PS3 only has the 256MB you didn't want for the 360.
Personally, as long as you're having funny it doesn't matter what console you have, but your fanboism is making you blind.

That might be the dumbest thing I ever heard. Flaming Ps3 because all it offers is insanely better graphics than ps2. Funny cause thats what next gen is. Wii cant compete performance wise with the other consoles so it better have some gimmick like that stupid controller at least. The title of next gen doesnt mean you need gimmicks to make it stand apart. I bet you werent complaining when SNES came out. all it offered was better graphics and more cartridge memory OMG jipped. OMG you get to play old nes and snes games ? Heard of an emulator ? I have been doing this wonderous thing you speak of for years lol.

PS3 isnt overpriced. It does cost alot but there is a difference. With the announcment of free online play it kinda makes it a bit better. The cost is probably the blu ray, which was a mistake for sure but they are stuck now. If Ps3 didnt have blu ray and it cost as much then it could be called overpriced.
360 is probably the best of the 3 in my opinion. Can compete with ps3 graphics wise, while both consoles blow the wii out of the water on that front. Games wise it is releasing more quality games that peak my interest than both the other consoles.(going up to next summer) Lost Odyssey, Bio Schock, Gears of War, Halo 3 eventually, and that Blue Dragon game(think thats the name)
All wii has is a bunch of party games, Zelda, and old franchises like metroid and used up mario Bleh.
Ps3 is the least impressive of them all in my opinion. MGS and Final Fantasy being their biggest draws.
Sadly according to many studies looks like Ps3 will keep control of the market. Wii will be in second place with its all age appeal and inventive gameplay. X-Box ,although having the best upcoming luineup, will have to be content with 3rd place for some crazy reason. People dont seem to trust a non-japanese brand, or maybe its the fact its microsoft who knows.

Err the main backers of BETAMAX were ? SONY, and see what happened to that format. Sonys name does not neccessarily guarantee anything.
Nintendo has already won the console war this holiday season with more units, signifcantly cheaper price, and appeal to the masses, not just hardcore gamers.
So rather than Microsoft spending $1 Billion on Gears of War, it's more like they wasted it on it.
Because you'd have to be out of your right mind to think any amount of money could make that game a more popular purchase than The Legend of Zelda.
