Here's some quick facts: PS3 will have cool games, XBOX360 will have cool games, Wii will have cool games. Personally I can't stand it when people have an almost religious fanaticism for one company or console. Just buy the one with the games you like, accept the fact that others have different tastes and will buy different consoles, and let's not spend our time trashing others opinions. I've seen enough of these debates to know how nasty and ugly they can get.
Originally posted by Zorvan Gears ogf War will retail for $100?!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! Man, I'm sorry. But whatever little fun the X360 provides (not enough for it to make me buy it), Microsoft is going to counter with stupidity. This is one of the reasons I have never owned an Xbox of any type. Microsoft needs to stick to PCs and software for PCs. They had to be begged to put 512mb versus 256mb? They had to be begged for a hard drive? HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, Playstation 1,2, and 3 rule all Unless your under 12. then get a Wii

Yeah, PS3 will rule at launch if you like everything overpriced and emptying your bank account.
I'll be getting a Wii first out of the next-gen consoles. Not only does it have the possibility for some really cool games, but it's inexpensive and affordable to someone who doesn't have buckets of cash to burn.

Oh come on. 600 bucks isnt exactly breaking the bank, maybe the piggy bank Yeah wii is definetly has a mass market price appeal.
It's better be hated for who you are, than loved for who you aren't.

Depends on the bank account we're talking about. 600 + games + peripherals = a hefty investment.

Hefty...yeah, piggy bank does sound about right.
lol, it's a lot of money just to play games. oh and maybe watch a movie, but hell my PC does that. PS3 reminds of the old ViewSonic Tablet PC . It has more power over your life than one would think it does (or even deserves to have) and everyone has a different idea of what it's purpose is. Do you think Viewsonic knew what the purpose of it's tablet PC was? Maybe they did but no one else really knew.

"As soon as I powered this thing up, there was a bright flash. Then a voice came on and said, "You have no chance to survive, make your time. All your base are belong to us." Then it moved all the zigs, and launched them for great justice! " -a reviewer
"1. There have been reports of people frying their systems by trying to pump in 1.21 gigawatts of power. This is incorrect; you're using the wrong unit of measurement. This system requires 1.21 jigawatts of power to function at full.
2. Use 1.21 jigawatts of power only when the PC itself is moving at 88 MPH. If you don't, at the very least it could shut itself off. But worse, it could explode, it could create a black hole, it could undo all that has been done, or it could have sex with your wife. " -a reviewer

That might be the dumbest thing I ever heard. Flaming Ps3 because all it offers is insanely better graphics than ps2. Funny cause thats what next gen is.
Intel thought that pure GHz was the way forward and that 64 bit/multi core processors would never catch on for home use. Its only with Conroe that they finally got their crown back.

They didn't spend a billion on Gears of War, they spent a billion on giving the X360 512 RAM not 256.
Considering all the other next gen consoles have 512 also, I think Gears of War probably wasn't the deciding issue.

Not much of a comparison but it still works.
