just a few questions. new ones .

so i was thinking of taking up wow.

although it seems very cartoonish and the fighting system seems silly.

so i was thinking maybe i should come back to FFXI.

but i looked at the census lately and realized there is only 500k playing this game still.

and wow has 7 million strong.

as much as i want to come back.

how long realistically do you believe this game will continue strong?

just asking for some assistance.

thanks alot guys.

=)

oh i also forgot to add these ?'s

has it grown increasingly difficult to find parties.

and have any of you noticed there being a lower population

thanks for all your help guys.

really do appreciate it.

500k is well above the successful mark for subscriptions to any game. WoWs 7 million is grossly inflated. But the fact remains that they probably do have the most subscribers. They cater to people new to the genre and the singleplayer game type, however. So they get a larger share of the demographic.

It's no more difficult to find a party than it was before. However, most have become trapped in the "this profession is wanted, this one is not" mindset, which is why I prefer to solo, since I enjoy taking my time, following and advancing the story, exploring, etc.

Haven't been playing very long, but there are always people around when I'm playing, so I don't know if the population as a whole is lower or not. There are alot of lower levels, but a good number of them are training there second, third, etc. job.

7 Million really sounds like a padded number, But I guess when you filter in 2million+ RMT accounts. And how they can ban 100,000 RMT accounts and not effect the Gold Farmers at all doesn't make the game look like its got a large legit playerbase.

There was a misunderstanding. They say accounts, including banned. Every copy of the game sold is what they mainly count. Then over all the countries that dies down even more. Then the server caps to stop to many people playing at one. Your looking at a smaller number playing the game. then divide the remaining number between all the servers and the game its self is really small.
