make money playing mmorpg

diskmedeldiskmedel Member, Newbie CommonPosts: 36

i have searched everywhere for a game like project entropia, where you can actually make money playing mmorpgs... is there no other game around where you can deposit AND withdraw your money ?

i made 100 USD in project entropia... then i gave it all away to a noob.... :)

(yes i was drunk, but still... )

so now i dont want to play PE anymore, and im looking for other games..

would greatly appreciate any answers...(just reply to my question about games that you can withdraw money from, dont reply to my statement that i gave away my money, ok? :)

Of course there's always the 'unoficial' way of making money from an MMORPG.

I read an article on the BBC site about six months ago about a bloke who earned a six-figure salary selling stuff from UO on EBay.

    Good man!

Never heard of any game where you actually made money and could withdraw it.  Thats some crazy shit.  I played EQ for 3 years and sold 2 accounts, one for $555 and one for $1000.  So maybe try that.

If its true that when you drop a cat it lands on its feet or if you drop toast it lands butter-side down... what happens if you strap toast to a cats back and drop it?

Well though there is not as much profit now been a professional mmorpg player it still can pay the bills f you are smart enough and got the rig for it.

In the past EQ accounts with top levels and good gear could fetch $2000 .Also a castle in pre second world in UO were selling from $500 -$1500 easy depends on your server.

However, looking at ebay prices have dropped for most of the older games.

Key is find a well awaited new mmorpg and then make a lot of game money or high chars as possible.

I posted a while ago about when I started playing SWG I ran into a guy with 8 accounts using 3 computers to play. Now consdering I could as a popular weaponsmith bring in 6 -12m game money per week with 1 account I do believe him when he says he pulls in at least $2000 a week and sometimes $2500.

For the first 4 months ,1m credits was selling for $50 -$70 .Also many people duped money in the start of the game. But lets assume he was not a duper .He could still easily pull in 40m a week with 8 trade chars and numerous mining lots.

Now its worth about $10-$20 for 1m so that would hurt him badly.

So out comes WoW.Professional players will be there once again to make a killing .

In some article in 2001 ,EQ economy was richer and healthier then some poor countries!!

im not looking for games where you MIGHT be able to sell the in-game stuff on ebay, and im not looking for games like casino and blackjack.. possibly skill games where you play tournaments for real money, but thats not what im REALLY after.. :D  i want a game with similar economic "thingie" as project entropia... second life cost money each month, think its easy to gain real life money there to cover your expenses ?

Selling accounts/items is against EULA in almost all mmorpg.

So dont talk about EQ economy. Its not economy. Its black market.

    Oh please, take a hike.
I was talking about money i sold in a MMORPG which was allowed by the developers.
Second Life allows you to sell ingame money.
I had around 200,000 money which i sold
    That's 200k
    And $460

    No black market.

Now go sit in a corner.

    Argh.

Um he was talking to the people that said they where selling stuff in EQ. was not addressing you seeling stuff that was legal. he said don't talk about EQ economy.. So why don't YOU go sit in the corner..
as for the EQ being a strong Economy it is true. back in 2001 they said the IN game economey was to be the 57th Most stable Enconomey in the world if it was a real Country.

No, you can legally get away with it by saying your selling not the ingame items, but rather the time invested in them. And that it is sole property of company.
