Do you want to download 2Moons for free? How about no monthly fee? Ok, done. When 2Moons comes out, it will be free to download and there will be no monthly fee. You can thank Dave Perry for this bit of change.

Ok, so you're asking, what's the catch. Simple, they will support the game through static advertisements in the bottom-right side of your game. Oh no! Advertisements in the game!! Ok, well, if you don't want the ads, just disable them. WHAT? I must be smoking something! Ok, ok, so here's the *catch*. If you disable the ads, you don't get double XP and free item offers that advertisers give you. ::::06:: Got your attention huh? Get that, they're going to reward you for having the advertisements. If you choose not to have the advertisements, then you just don't get the goodies that go with having them enabled. The game is free to play. There are no artificial restrictions placed on your character.

zomg, it's free!!!!!

Where oh where can I find more information? Well, go to 2moons.acclaim.com and hopefully they'll have a REAL wb site up one day. 2moons.acclaim.com

Speak your mind!!! What do you think of this business model? Do you think you're going to try 2Moons since it's free? SPEAK!

so...

The only thing that bugs me is economics - are they realy going to get enough money from the advert's companies to back it up? I mean the local servers, maintenance, GM/dev support etc +some profit ;)

I understand the major developer's work is already done (engine - graphics - models etc, the "hard" software as client and basic server aplications) and they are now only tuning some of the "soft" software like databases etc.

    But still, will some

economist be so kind and explian if it's possible?
