Complete-False Advertising or Just False Hope?

in SWG Veteran Refuge

Ok, so I read these forums a lot just never post. There was one about Complete missing from Lucasarts store but it's now back.  Anyhow the following is part of the description of complete:

• Race speeder bikes, swoop bikes and landspeeders, or mount creatures like banthas and dewbacks.

• Customize every detail of your character's appearance from 10 playable species (Human, Wookiee, Bothan, Twi'lek and others), as you select from various body types, facial features, tattoos and more.

• Choose your allegiance. Fight in the name of the Emperor, join the Rebellion or work for yourself as a Han Solo-like smuggler.

• Take on one of over 9 iconic professions, including Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, Commando, or the ultimate - become a Jedi!

Anyhow, didn't getting bantha & dewbacks as mounts go away with the NGE? As far as I know they disappeared with CH, however I haven't done all the NGE quests to find out.

Also it clearly states, take on one of over 9 professions. 1. Jedi 2. Bounty Hunter 3. Smuggler 4. Commando 5. Medic 6. Trader 7. Spy 8. Entertainer 9. Trader.  What's the "over" part. I suppose pilot & politician would count.

    The part about the banthas and dewbacks is definitely false advertising.

    Heh, one of over 9  professions...would mean at least 10 right.  Interesting, interesting indeed.

    Might be a bit of both...as you can get a mount or so from the legacy quests...

    ...and you can *still* mount anything, but *attaining* them now is an entirely different story. If they're not going to change anything with attaining new mounts then heh, not being able to attain a mount would be a "tiny technical detail" to SOE probably...since folks can still use them.

    LEC never was good at getting the details right, especially for products that they have spent more time ruining than nurturing.

    That shite was probably written by one of Nancy's proteges..You know..for players that don't read., so the details was unimportant as long as their players could say: "dude look! words! Let's buy it!"

    I um wouldn't worry about it.. or think much about it.

    Like two months ago the LEC site still listed SWG as having 32 professions...

    The TOOW info part... still listed it as before the NGE...  

    Suprised they finally get around to mentioning Iconic...

    Not if you count each trader subclass as a different profession.
