You can start downloading the client now, even without a key. The key itself is only required to log in.
I STRONGLY recommend that people start downloading the client. The link was provided on an earlier page of this thread. I downloaded overnight and tried patching, and the game has been sitting for well over 6 hours on 0.77% completion. Maybe it's just me, but it's not working.
ya figures.. my first beta test an has to wait till 9pm to get to play was reading topic an saw some one say how would they download the game.. my best bet would be after the 24 hr wait they would email another link to the winners an so forth but i wouldn't know of it

As has been stated, when all prizes are confirmed MMORPG.COM will e-mail the Spellborn people to send the keys to them. Then they will give them to us. The main factor will be in how long it takes the Spellborn people to send the keys.
And we're at 224/250 right now. I read a post on the Spellborn forums from someone who had won, but didn't confirm in time and was disqualified. That's rough and I'd much rather not win at all than to win, but miss the 24h window by a few hours.
So one question that's come up is will the beta keys we receive be for "instant access" to beta or will these be for the next wave of beta? Presumably this will be instant access, but still something I've wondered about.
Good question AlienShores, but I guess we've just got to wait and see once all 250 have confirmed. It would be great if we get instant access, but it could well be a while before we get to play. Still, I'm closer to playing than I was a few days ago now I have this winning ticket, so I'm very grateful for that
